Even if you assume that he'd still be trying to ingratiate himself with people like Hasan and Denims, a lot of the embarrassing shit we know is only public because of her. He could have been just another lying breadtube faggot along the lines of a Noah Samsen instead of Ian Johma the cuckold who shits himself, took his wife's name, was forced to move to his mother in law's house after becoming destitute, took hideous beatdowns for a mismanaged boxing event, married a woman who posted pics of her brown eye on the wedding day, etc. I could go on. We know most of those things are largely or entirely her doing. I mean she didn't shit Ian's pants or force him to not brush his teeth, but she did tell everyone. He could say no or break up with her and end the horror, so it's his fault in that sense, but personally I don't torture my 'loved' ones just because I think I can.

No disagreement here. I think we mainly differ in interpretation of the nature of her actions. You seem to view her as malicious first and foremost. I, meanwhile, see her as a retarded, delusional savage whore and a massive attention whore on top of that, who is still holding grudges towards her parents and/or whatever authority figure(s) whose unforgivable crimes were probably daring to try to raise her as a decent and functional human being.
I never accused them of loving eachother, therefore I don't interpret their actions in this manner. I see them as two desperate, self-absorbed parasites addicted to drama and attention. Maybe they thought that getting together would fill the void their lives are largely filled with - that doesn't seem to have worked. However, each of them has at least constant attention of the other half. While miserable, they share their misery. Furthermore, now they can lash out together on whoever target they choose - always better than alone I guess. Parting ways just won't be beneficial to either of them, currently they at least can impose some of their burden onto the other half.
