I've noticed this is problem with late Gen Xers/Boomers when they get "redpilled." They just kind of go nuts into all kinds of weird tangents and their ideology implodes and warps.
It makes me think of the theory of the Holocaust being a foundational myth of the modern age. Maybe finding out that a lot of the things you were told in your youth were outright fabrications or lies.
Most Millennials and Zoomers grew up in a time where it was just admitted you were being lied to, and most people had one or two teachers in High School who, regardless of political leaning, told you "yeah, we lied to you when you were younger to make shit easier to learn, but here's the right way to do it." I think the younger Xers had that, too, but a lot of the older ones like Tucker seemed to miss out on it, and when the curtain gets pulled back they just kind of lose it.
Still not entirely convinced he isn't part of the paid-off, purposeful doomer crowd, but I have seen many around his age go nutso ideologically.
