These strikes are another key to understanding why the Administration is in this seemingly contradictory position of being 'pro-Russian' while being 'anti-Iranian' when both those countries are in the same bloc pursing the same general geopolitical interests.
Aside from the effect on the Middle East and nukes, this removes a key Russian ally, potentially increasing Trump's leverage in Ukraine negotiations hopefully to coax it out of the Chinese sphere of influence, it also is a message that China can't rely on the US wimping out over an attack on Taiwan and also removes an major ally and trading partner of theirs as well. Not to mention a warning to other nations who might want to test the US. Ultimately this all builds on a grand strategy of cockblocking China and preventing them from assembling an alliance around themselves.
There are so many potential gains here in so many areas its one of the most obvious moves ever. You'd have to be basement level IQ to think the best thing would be to just sit around and do nothing. It all makes sense when you put it together.
But you have not so bright people on the right and left opposing US policy in Ukraine while supporting it in Iran or vice versa, not realizing these two are connected.
And then you have even more ignorant people ranting about Jews and imperialism playing tic tac toe under the chess table.
