Iran Crisis & the 2026 War between Iran and the United States, Gulf States, and Israel - Please focus on news and coverage, not argumentation.

It's a good hat but he'll have to upgrade it eventually:

Or would Rubio have to wear this?

US airstrikes are hitting Tehran extra hard.
The second the US figures out laser tech for anti-missile swarms and NK can't hold Seoul hostage they're so fucked

Iranians are going to the street to protest and getting shot by the irgc.
Bad move on the part of the protesters. Trump specifically said to take shelter for the time being until those soldiers/cops surrender or are dead.

The big talking point when the protests first started was about the internet getting cut off. I wonder what the Iranian internet status is now, and how well Trump's messaging is able to spread there. I remember hearing something about smuggled Starlink units.

I want to know how many arms salesmen for the Chinese and Russian governments are tying nooses somewhere after a second tinpot dictator protected entirely by their vaunted miltech got taken out in humiliating fashion by Team America

Lil Bush psyop'd the world into forgetting that America is the worlds strongest force in human history. They're in the finding out phase now boys.

Now that Khamenei is (likely) dead...Now what? Do they think that Iran will become a friendly western democracy?

Absolutely. Just like Afghanistan. It worked out well for everyone who died in that war didn't it?

My friend, this is absolutely retarded. Afghanistan is nothing like Iran in virtually anyway except for they both are majority Muslim countries. In almost every other way they are very different. They have had a government for thousands of years for one. It is not an extremely sectarian country there are a lot of different ethnicities but they're not quite at each other's throats like they are in places like iraq. There is an Iranian identity that has predated Islam and is stronger than islam. And it's also stronger than a lot of the ethnic tensions. Now there are some ethnic issues as there are everywhere but I'd say relations between most ethnicities in Iran are better than they are in America.

Without boots on the ground there's no guarantee of regime change. I certainly hope they ditch the islamofascist gov't, but it could end up in a fail state where the regime gets poorer and weaker like North Korea but they machine gun enough civilians that they stay in power. Who knows what the CIA has cooked up, with Trump he either could have greenlit a great regime change plan Bob Gates came up with in 2008 or 2010 but Obama vetoed, or he could have had Hegseth punch it into chatgpt. Someone within the foreign policy blob def would have felt compelled to impose some sort of western democracy on the country. Trump doesn't have those constraints, so it's possible he installs whatever Pahlavi is still alive at the head of a transitional gov't and lets them figure it out. Yeah the Shah was hated by the end of his rule but people weren't necessarily clamoring for a theocracy and now people are ready for anything other than revolutionary islamic gov't. The islamists have been failing at delivering fundamental services and are losing legitimacy for that. they fucked up the environment, mismanaging the water table such that their only hope for drinking water is to get Israel's help with desal. Their policies which marry the worst of socialism and gulf arab petrostate politics, have led them to run out of fucking oil for domestic consumption. now they are burning mazut, which is a kind of near-waste fuel oil product that is dirty and destructive to machines and poisonous to people. so i think at this point if you asked an iranian would they rather live at the end of the shah's rule say 1975, or iran 2026, they'd all vote for the shah again in a heartbeat. the same way a heritage american would take living in 1979 over 2026 despite what a shitshow it was and despite some things objectively getting better since then.

When are you chicken hawks enlisting

According to NetBlocks, there has been a near-total internet blackout in Iran since the start of the conflict. That's why we haven't seen much footage from Iran.

A short while ago, the Israeli Air Force, guided by IDF intelligence, completed another wave of strikes targeting the ballistic missile array and aerial defense systems of the Iranian terror regime in western and central Iran. As part of the strikes, the Israeli Air Force deepened the damage and targeted several launch sites in central Iran that had not yet been struck.

One of the targets struck was a missile launch site in the Qom area of central Iran. This site stored Ghadr H-1 ballistic missiles carrying hundreds of kilograms of explosives. The strike on the ballistic missile array and missile launch infrastructure thwarted dozens of launches toward the territory of the State of Israel and significantly degraded the regime’s most central offensive capability.

The IDF continues to degrade the missile array and air defense systems of the Iranian terror regime. The completed strikes improve the Israeli Air Force’s freedom of action and prevent numerous launches and missiles that posed a threat to the citizens of the State of Israel and the broader Middle East.

Those look like SAM systems - specifically, SAM systems that haven't even been deployed yet, even though there was weeks of American/Israeli buildup and saber rattling and it's been hours sense the first bombs dropped. Another massive L for Iranian air defense.

representative of the US just said "You know who's not complaining about any of this? Who's not citing law? Who's CELEBRATING in the streets around the world? The iranian people."

they cut to the iranian representative. it's like a shot from a fucking movie, holy shit.
