If popular support is against the government, and the military is currently being hit by outside forces, then I can't imagine those aligned with the government constitute large enough a portion of the populace to resist change. The Chinese and Russians could force something but I don't think Russia is inclined to try and re-gain a foothold in the Middle East again after the shitshow of Syria, and China had been distancing themselves from Iran since the start of 2025.

The situation might be just right enough to avoid civil war altogether, even with regime change. But that's my view.

You're not wrong but I do not see the Iranian government going down without a fight because they know they're fucked no matter what. Either the West captures them and puts them on (((trial))), the rebels torture and kill them, or they live in exile in Russia where they don't get to play theocratic overlords and will by extension have to abandon their cause and ally 100% with Putin (or else). Many in the Iranian government believe in their cause.

Either way, we'll see what happens.

Russia had been mostly producing its local "Geran" copies of the Shahed domestically; however, it had been importing certain parts for it's Geran copies from the Iranians (i.e. Iran sells Russia the key components for the drone, Russia puts it together with domestic materials and domestic warheads)

Its too uncertain to say.
A full """regime change""" (even like we saw in Venezuela where some IRGC-aligned 2nd in power is in control and totally resisting the Yankees but conveniently doing everything DC demands) may see the stop of flow of these parts from Iran.

We also don't know the level of precision tools needed to make these drones or how many engineers know how to tool those machines, and how many (if any) have been destroyed/assassinated - or if these are truly commercially available materials. Unlike a jet or a ballistic missile, where a well-placed guided bomb could destroy some seriously unique and expensive tools/machines, and a few engineers getting Mossad'ed could legit shut down production, with drones there's a chance more mid-level specialized personnel could build them with more common tools & machines.

We also don't know much the Iranian supply line hypothetically drying up would or wouldn't impact Russia.
There's a chance it doesn't dry up.
There's a chance it does and Russia is utterly unphased.
There's a chance it does and Russia needs to ration/triage whether it wants to make Geran drones versus some other munitions type (i.e. Lancet, Kalibr, etc.)

Lastly, even if it did impact, seasonally speaking Russia is exiting the "spam hundreds of munitions nightly" winter season, and can afford to slow its rate of drone expenditure to avoid depleting stockpiles.

Short answer, mostly likely not.

With Venezuela off the table and Iran also getting off the table the Chinese are running out of places to get oil from. The only place left is Russia. And while the Russians and the Chinese might talk about how much they have in common because their BRICS nations, this could be farther from the truth. Problem is that the Russians and the Chinese see each other as adversaries. They both want to become world powers, so while the Russians might be forced to sell the Chinese oil cheaply, they're not going to be doing it willingly. The Chinese also don't want to give their equipment to the Russians in exchange because it's going to get blown up and then the CIA is going to find out what it's made of and then they'll build weapons to blow them up. The Chinese also have established themselves as this "non-involved" third power. And getting involved in the Russia and Ukraine thing at least. Overtly will harm them more than it helps them. Remember for the Chinese, Taiwan has always been a part of China. So any action needs to be seen as "peaceful" and this is what the world (at least claims) to want.


I will state right now: I am not a China expert. But i know this: the Chinese face many problems in the coming next two decades. First off, their population is dying. The one China policy has left a larger geriatric population and no smaller population to replace it. Secondly, the Chinese have this obsession with ethnic and racial identity so they can't exactly import new Chinese people. Thirdly, China is still very very poor. The entire Chinese communist system exists and is popular because it has provided for the people. And under a generation they've gone from literal rice Farmers to well. Look at China now. If that fails to maintain the legitimacy of the Chinese Communist party gets thrown into question and the Chinese cannot have that.

I mean what place doesn't have similar problems? Russia and China could make a deal to split the winnings. Middle eastern governments are looking at this and wondering if they're next. America is on the other side of the world, whereas they are all somewhat close together. On top of that, theres a tonne of chink in the US, China isn't past using disappearing families as blackmail, and not above rounding up westerners in China and just shooting them. I hope it doesn't but is there going to be an opportunity like this again? How are North/South American relations btw?

Arabs are tribal savages, that's why I never supported Arab spring and other operations that toppled dictators in islamic regimes - those dictators kept savage fanatics in check and it was obvious that once the dictator is gone, savages will reach for power.
I support this regime change because Iranians \ Persians had an actual civilization and culture before Islam attempted to destroy it (see pictures of Iranians from before the revolution - they look like regular American or European people). I believe that if you remove the cancer that is islamic theocracy, those people can flourish.
