It's amazing, unreal really. No small wonder why you have a certain type of doomer who is constantly expecting a knife in the back, almost craving it. Winning is so unusual, it's a change. Autists don't like change. Winning means actually having to do something, which for the old GOPe is unknown. The old fuddy-dudies are finally getting it stomped into their head that winning isn't just necessary, but also very popular and lucrative.
Trump, whatever you think about him, has dragged the party, kicking and screaming, towards a brighter future. Do I disagree with Trump on a lot? Yeah, he's nowhere near as right wing as most of us here would like. But I don't see us getting any of these victories without him. The U.S. was bleeding out from multiple massive hemorrhages, and we weren't allowed to say anything about it let alone do anything about it. Trump and his team have largely stanched or is in the process of stanching this blood-loss. We even have political figures in high office talking about and implementing plans to bring about healing and recovery ( Miller, Homan, and etc).
We have come a long way from the wilderness years of when the right was controlled and defined by the Arch-NeoCon William F. Buckley Jr. and the National Review.
I could go on, but the point is this: Do not despair, we have come a long, long way. We actually have a right-wing political opposition, that is serious about being effective, and learning how to wield power. It's clumsy, it's awkward, it's often retarded, but it's growing and learning.
