His central points are A) Indiana republicans didn't want to redistrict because it would mean forcing each district to take a slice of dem (read black) concentrations, risking more purple districts over solid red ones and B) the online right's hounding of Indiana reps over this pissed them off.

The problems with this are A) every red state is a target for dem replacement efforts, they'll dump poor refugees in small town Indiana as easily as they did Springfield Ohio (There is no escaping the purple district), and B) not redistricting guarantees democrats two safe seats, making that much easier to get a majority in Congress.

If your local GOP can't look at Illinois' electoral map and go "how can we do a red version here," they don't give a shit about winning, about serving you the voter, or saving America.
