Disaster Active shooter alert issued for areas in and around Tumbler Ridge, B.C. - Residents asked to shelter in place; suspect described as "woman" in a dress with brown hair

An active shooter alert has been issued for a large area in and around Tumbler Ridge in B.C.'s northeast.

The alert was issued Tuesday at 2:15 p.m. PT by RCMP, and it covers Tumbler Ridge, Chetwynd, Dawson Creek and areas surrounding them.

Police say those in the Tumbler Ridge area should stay indoors and shelter in place, and not leave their homes.

The suspect in the case has been described as a woman in a dress with brown hair.

Anyone who sees the suspect has been asked not to approach them and to call 911.

The supposed misinformation here is that there is a pattern emerging of mentally ill cross dressers committing mass murder suicides. They cite that mass murders are historically mostly cis men, ignoring that the distinction between a mentally ill cis man and a male tranny is essentilly non existent, and requires assenting to their own premise that cross dressing as a coping mechanism for a mental disorder is a distinct gender category.

Then, with little irony, they quote people claiming this pattern identification distracts from real issues like, giving the government more money to give to trannies (mental health support) and taking even more guns from perfectly normal law abiding canadians (access to firearms), the pet projects of the canadian and world wide liberal ruling class.

Growing up, there was this idea that I owed my parents something for giving birth to me. I don't believe that anymore, I think when you give birth to a child, you owe them. They never asked to be born, you have to sell them on why it was a good thing that they were born to you. Of course, parents still deserve respect, but it's something to be worked for imo.

I'll take a pretty unpopular approach here and say that I agree that there's a problem with the hyperfocusing on the trans issue. Insofar as I feel like there's other stuff that also needs to be addressed, such as criminalizing emotional neglect of a child, and investigating the families of shooters. I disagree that it doesn't matter like at all though, to me it's like a stew of shit that came together to cause this. But some people are focusing too much on the carrots, forgetting the meat and potatoes. Luckily I have seen some good discussion on grooming in LGBT circles AND the dangers of childhood emotional neglect AND other interesting perspectives in this thread.
