Daily reminder that when he claims the game drops inputs, he's just in -6 blockstun. If you try to input in that window nothing will come out. You have to time it correctly and input the counter after you're out of blockstun. Think of it like this. If someone jabs you irl and you block it, you can counter almost immediately, because there's very little blockstun. But if someone spartan kicks you, you're going to be in blockstun for a good 5+ seconds so it's impossible to take a swing back until you recover. And if the opponents combo is a true blockstring, you can't reversal out of it, period. Phil doesn't even know basic frame data, there's no way he knows what are true blockstrings. And that's not even taking burnout frame data into account.

So if every single loss is because of lag, dropped inputs, rollback netcode, etc, isnt phil essentially saying he should be going undefeated every single time he plays street fighter? If none of the loses are ever actually deserved or his own fault, phil is actually saying he should be winning literally every match.

Imagine how insane this sounds. Phil is actually trying to claim he would win every single fight if it wasnt for tech errors with the game. His ego has gone so overboard that he has to make excuses and hand waive away every single loss and tell himself he actually won. He has always been a poor sport but how has he got to the point where he is incapable of coping with the idea of fairly losing even a single match?

And its the same thing with cod, literally every single death is always because of lag or internet issues. If you remove every death phil claims weren't his fault, he would be going 40-0 every single call of duty match.

And this is why the constant complaining about every single loss or death in these multi-player games kills his entire argument. One or two issues with lag here and there, sure thats believable whatever, but crying that you shouldn't ever lose or get killed even once is just absurd and isnt remotely believable.

If these games worked correctly, phil would be the world's best fighting and fps player and no one else would even come close. Has anyone ever legitimately killed him in black ops 7 yet? I dont think I've seen him die once and not immediately have an excuse for why it wasnt legit.

That's not true. If he's playing someone from the FGC he knows, or someone with "TTV" or "YT" at the end of their name then he's totally okay accepting his loss. Listen to his match with Justin Wong, you just gotta be that good to outplay a pro like Phil! Just kidding, I think the nice guy/gracious loser act is just that; an act. It only comes out when he's playing against someone that has a platform and could potentially respond, all the randos just have to put their hands behind their backs and let Phil verbally assault them.

This concept/thought process is what I thought was so crazy about a line he had when he was using Sagat last week. Basically he said:

"See? When I play against scrubs I win because they're not using the cheese spam strats, it's only when I play against high-ranked players that I lose [which actually means I'm better than all of them]."

His logic is that people that play the game "fairly" he can beat, but that not a single high-ranked player is playing fairly and that's why he loses but he is, in essence, saying that he's better than anyone he plays against. Phil beats you? Skill, you play fairly and he's better than you. You beat Phil? Luck, mayush jayub button mashing or the game is broken. I'm sure he would deny that he thinks he's the greatest Street Fighter player to ever live but when you boil down the logic there is no case in which Phil gets outplayed. Unless he knows who the person he's fighting is, then he's as meek as a lamb but I would wager in that lightbulb-shaped head of his he still thinks he should have won.

He constantly walks himself into the corner or gives up his screen position trying to teleport behind. He has no concept of screen control.

He plays like your typical smurf tbh no defense and flowchart pattern offense. Get in one time and force him to defend and you’re all but guaranteed to win the round.

Of course he would, he did it for that Sharks & Minnows game because the dev is dented and told him he was a fan. That game was slop, he didn't like it until the dev told him how big of a fan he is.

He has no concept of screen control.

I'm not an expert but as an outsider listening to him complain about "yep I'm in the corner, nothing I can do!" I keep thinking "Okay, but then why are you in the corner to begin with?". His pattern play is slightly less obvious than it was with Sagah but you can still see he has a few moves to rush in and skip neutral, and if those don't work then he has no clue what to do. Correct me if I'm wrong but a zoning character like Dhalsim I'd assume you'd want to... you know... zone? Use those long moves to poke and keep yourself out of the corner and keep the other person from getting in your face.

I thought it was funny when he said last night that they should make Dollzim better in the corner/up close like yeah that's a great idea. Actually let's just give him a move where if you do it you just win every match, Phil seems to struggle with basic combos so let's just make it his regular punch, just press a button and win. He really has no concept of what a competition even is, he just wants to mash buttons and feel better about himself because he beat someone in a video game. He's such a retard.

This has always been one of the funniest things about Phil to me. If you believe him and take everything he says at face value, he is literally a perfect person. He's the perfect gamer. If not for bullshit and nahnsense, he would have done first try perfect no hit runs on every Souls game. Perfect no hit runs in every game actually. When it comes to multiplayer, he's literally never lost a match or made a single mistake- except when he's playing against another streamer or a pro, in which case he's just a tiny little guy saying "Good parry!" over and over.

This kind of thing goes down to his bones. Like when he spilled a little water and said it's because they overfilled the bottle at the factory. This dude never even spilled a drink legit, he's literally perfect.

It's not a coincidence that all of his mains are gimmick characters of some kind. Every one of the characters he likes to play are the "scrub killers," with a gimmick that can be very hard for casuals and novices to deal with, but become - surprise! - much weaker against players who know what they're doing.

Meanwhile, he bitches endlessly about characters that are much more honest, and actually have to play the game to win.

Just to echo, but Phil has very little knowledge of how fighting games actually work.

The other day on stream he was complaining that the in-game guide to Sagat was wrong because it said Tiger Knee was safe on block, but when he tried to jab after it his opponent's move beat him. He has no idea why he ever gets hit, just sits there complaining that his opponent's move "stuff" his, when he's at massive frame disadvantage. He has no idea why anything he does actually works, which is why as soon as anybody adapts to his gameplan he instantly loses.

He clearly thought he was god's gift to fighting games after his Super Turbo days and stopped learning anything new, like how he was valedictorian in high school and now he's a retard.
