Actually effective slave armies with professionalism and their own leadership structure generally take over at some point, as well.
The Muslims in particular were big fans of elite slave soldiers because they had no connection to society at large which theoretically made them more loyal then everyone else. This often worked until they would try to seize power from whoever ruled over them.

It really says something about American conservatives when they are resorting to celebrating "wins" in what is functionally a uniparty state as their own political candidates can't even win in Louisiana or Texas these days.

LDP is center-right at best btw.

Slave soldiers never made sense to me. Isn't the whole bargain of slavery that you do what you're told and you don't die? How does "go die or you'll die" manage to work...:cringe:
The two categories where it makes sense are stuff like the Mamelukes and the Janissaries where they were taken as children and raised to be elite warriors, or pressing people into being labor for siege work. And somehow the Royal Navy pressganging people also worked.

Edit: also galley slaves. They're just told to row.

Is this supposed to make anyone hate ICE? This only makes them cooler.

I remember seeing this animation on X

Seeing people seething in the comment going THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE MAKING FUN OF YOU like Americans haven't been coopting their enemy's mocking since Yankee Doodle

If he actually did his research he would also know that the majority of ICE agents are either mexican or black.
Well, what do you expect? Did you expect the Bugs Bunny Rape Guy to be comfortable with those damn dirty rednecks being anything BUT racist retards!? C'mon! He can't go THAT far, he has chins to feed!

It's not about reality or research, it's about comfortable lies and socially acceptable targets. Even if research were done, it would be disregarded to peddle the scapegoat that's been turned into a cornerstone of their religion. Shitting on uneducated, Southern, poor, and barbaric whites named Cletus or Jeb is safe and cozy to the spirit. It's unchallenging, memetic, and just has to be true at all costs. It's fundamental to their perceptions of what evil looks like. To those who have faith, evil is a demon. To those with modern faith, evil is a man with pale skin and ignorance caused by socioeconomic factors outside of their control. (It totally isn't punching down when clowning on them, though.)

There're others who are better equipped to handle explaining this phenomenon when it happens, but when faith is challenged in those who use political brainwashing as doctrine the results will vary. Meatcanyon can't do it, it's heresy and will get him shunned. Those on the opposite political spectrum can do it because they're already part of the understanding of evil, though it will be disregarded as whispers from snakes.

When a brown ICE agent is seen physically IN PERSON and can't be denied as propaganda or falsehood, the mask will slip, and the test of intelligence is too much for the likes of Lilith the true and honest woman, Susanne from HR, or Soybert the polite male. The cult of "being a good person" is a fucking virus, whose principals are abandoned the moment someone is decided to be a "bad person." Lilith, Susanne, and Soybert are victims of the active effort to weaponize ever-changing moral standards.

To wrap it back around to the person in question: Meatcanyon loves to push the boundaries of what makes people comfortable, his artform is being grotesque and over the top. His job would require him to do research to lampoon what he's focused on, but he still can't bring himself to push past his own limits regarding the most socially comfortable group of people to make fun of. For that he's at best keeping his livelihood safe, at worst he's a cowardly cunt. Maybe somewhere in-between! Who knows!

The way it worked in Islam was that rulers who needed loyal, professional soldiers without existing tribal, regional, or familial loyalties that could conflict with service to the state. These were often boys captured from frontier regions or slave markets. They were also highly dependent on their master for pay, advancement and well-being so they'd even more loyal because of this.

Where this would backfire in the long-term is that they could be freed upon the completion of military service and become part of a military caste. Over time they'd become more independent and established from the state or dynasty that created them. The lack of connection to the land would become a double-edged sword as well.

For historical examples of this how could go wrong: Mamluks seized power in Egypt, slave soldiers took over in India when the Ghurids fell and the Janissaries tried to revolt against the Ottoman Empire which ultimately resulted in their disbandment.

Hey FP! Did you hear that Florida is set to redistrict so that the state is 26 to 2? And there's no real room for blue states to respond since they're all gerrymandered to hell already.

All I know is that everyone's waiting for the AI bubble to burst.
Someone I know who isn't too technologically savvy or into tech happenings essentially said the same thing during recent discussion. We both think there is going to be a big AI bust similar to the dot-com bust that happened roughly 20 years ago and wat it might mean for all the data centers being built or proposed at the moment should they need to be shut down.

As for the halftime show, the only musician I wanna hear named Bunny is the one and only Bun E. Carlos of Cheap Trick.
I'd even listen to Jive Bunny and the Master Mixers before I'd listen to Bad Bunny.

On Reddit, there’s been an extremely strong push to get every influencer and celebrity to “speak up” about ICE, lest they get cancelled for being “secretly MAGA.”
As others posted, this has been a thing for some time, but perhaps emphasized less in recent times until now. I know someone who lives in a ultra-liberal stronghold who makes social media posts parroting the liberal talking points while holding more moderate opinions when we discuss current happenings privately. It's all performative to prevent one's self from being cancelled or phonebooked over wrongthink.

It rubs me wrong that they get away with skipping all sorts of seemingly-important steps (like sanitation, paying taxes, etc.) just by cramming their food in a truck and driving around to serve it.
With various cities and localities imposing their own taxes - especially sales taxes - on sales within their borders on top of any state taxes, I wonder how many of these food vendors are subject to such taxes and properly collect and pay them. State and local tax examinations aren't fun to deal with even when the examined party is found to be in full compliance. Safety and sanitation are equally reasonable concerns because a food poisoning outbreak from one or more food trucks during the Super Bowl would be a huge black eye for the host city and the companies involved.

Try? More like actually did seize power, numerous times. Mameluks, Jannisaries, etc. Jeets try to replicate this but are too bumbling and retarded to actually win here.

>if you agree to fight our war for us you may die, or you may live, depending on how the war goes
>if you live you might even end up in a more comfortable position as some kind of enforcer/overseer over the conquered people

>if you refuse to fight then we'll send you to a position where slaves are worked to death with brutal back-breaking labor like a galley, a quarry, or a mine

It seems that the right-wing dream girl is a racist alt-chick.
You can blame pop culture from 10-25 years ago.
They're both C*nadian
I can tolerate murder. But being Canadian? Yikes.

AND even with how far the Dems have gone, the absolute best they can do in terms of overall House seats gained from all this is a rough stalemate that still leans Republican by a seat or two. And that’s including Virginia and California where both redistricting efforts are on incredibly shaky legal footing (CA because the mapmaker admitted to a racial bias, VA because they did some really creepy shit to start the process in the first place)

It really says something about your ignorance when you post crap like this. Conservatives in the US are celebrating Takaichi's election as (a) She's an ally of, and was endorsed by, Trump; (b) This weekend's election shows Japan is moving further right, both politically and socially; and (c) Takaichi has enthusiastically supported Taiwan and has threatened military response against China should they invade.
These are all good things for conservatives, and for the US. Little surprise that you hate them.
LDP is center-right at best btw.
Depends on the pol, depends on the election cycle. The LDP is moving further right now than it has in some decades, forced by the recent successes of the Sanseito and Conservative parties.

BTW, I noticed you've stopped repeating your lie that Takaichi is in favor of importing infinite immigrants. New marching orders from your jeet masters?
