If i'm not mistaken any type of weapon that can kill or injure many people quickly such as a sawn off easy to conceal shotgun or automatic pistol/rifle can be classified as a WMD.

Not quite. The term destructive device is reserved for special cases, such as the AA12, grenades, gas bombs, fire bombs, missiles, Mines or a 20mm anti tank rifle. They are classified as a title 2 firearm/weapon and thus require a long background check, fingerprinting, a tax stamp, specially licensed vendor, and so on to legally acquire.

Seeing some of the policies that get passed in Europe, I would criticize any government that passed them including my own.

Really I fail to see how a lot of, from an American perspective, Europes worst policies have any blame that falls on us, over the unelected representatives that pass them in the EU, or the leaders in the countries themselves.

Idk it just seems like a huge cope to blame the US for your policies.
