The problem IMO is that modern mass immigration is not the same as say the immigrants that came right after hart celler. These people were basically high IQ and entrepreneurial(on average). Another thing to consider is that America had a larger monocultural identity, was that identity by in large WASP? Yes. Higher IQ people are much more likely to be able to integrate and want to integrate, at least the ones who leave behind everything to get a shot at a much better life and have the capability to actually do it without being subsidized by the nation as we effectively have now. Another thing to consider is that huge ethnic enclaves like in MN for example with the Somalians just wasn't a thing post civil rights era, you HAD to be a part of wider American society and learn the ways of our nation, and there wasn't some coddling, if you acted retarded you got appropriately treated. We no longer act as a nation with an ethos. I think we should effectively ban all but the edge cases in immigration until we get the nation in order, regain a national identity that isn't some gay consumerist shit.
