You can't @chatgpt add israel flag. It's that simple. Grok will add that sort of stuff and is taggable. It's not about people liking grok, they could get the same result in photoshop in seconds. It's about pissing people off who hate jews and ai. Tagging a bot on twitter is the quickest way to achieve that.

I distinctly remember this video from the creator where xhe was considering hiring voice actors due to being scared shitless of the potential backlash for using AI voices (something was perfectly acceptable to the troon mob years prior despite the methods for producing such voices not changing), but also being scared shitless of not being able to pay said voice actors a HECKING LIVING WAGE and being racked over the coals for that as well. You could audibly hear the anxiety and paranoia in xer voice as doing anything that contradicts the values of those "wholesome old World Wide Web™" circles would result in immediate ostracization. I wish I could find the video but it appears to be lost, or maybe it was on xer Patreon or something.

Yea early internet was quirky graphics and zany uis. And totally not an infuriating mess that needed you to navigate from one website to another 50 times before finding what you wanted to see and full of cartel torture videos that you just randomly found. It was just wacky little dolphin images and tamagochis and definitely not 10kbps dialup and full of viruses that would brick your computer if you clicked one thing wrong. Imagine going yea I wish I could have lived through the 60s and all that and you ask why and instead of the golden age for the arts and acid and homeownership they tell you they just want to have a mullet.

Anyone ITT who thinks there isn't some amount of a market bubble with AI also has AIDS. OpenAI's business model obviously isn't sustainable, and I don't know why anyone would think that providing flagship LLMs for free would be.
Someday there is going to be a major market correction and it'll force all these AI companies to focus on profitability rather than harvesting investor funds to subsidize AI models for the masses. Many companies may not survive such a correction, like the ones that failed during the dotcom crash, but many will. Where antis go wrong is assuming a crash will wipe AI from the face of the earth, but people will still be using image models and LLMs.

What's interesting though is that the valuations of these companies don't match the dotcom bubble. Their PE ratios are like 50|1 while the dot com days had valuations like 200|1. And the giants from that era are still with us 25 years later and used the same 'become the biggest fish' tactics. I also keep hearing about improvements on the software side of things to make the LLMs more efficient so presumably they can halt the extraordinary capex and still get gains in performance through better model design.

Long story short, I now tell it to ask me one question about whatever, once in a while, as a form of payback for all the info it synthesizes for me eg. Q: Mr. Asbestos, why were you asking me about Seinfeld episodes? A: old TV chills me out before a big exam. What's interesting is unlike every other interaction I have with the LLM. If I let it ask one direct question of its own generation, it stops engagement-baiting me. It just wishes me luck on my exam, where normally it'd be like 'oh what are you studying? Do you need cliff notes? Is it a moment of truth?' yada yada yada.

idk if it has a quota for familiarity and just letting it ask something point-blank fills it immediately or what, but it's an interesting change considering I didn't explicitly tell it to behave that way.

I saw a council of geeks episode on ai and I kinda wanna train a LoRA on my pc live just to fuck with him and all the others for promoting that nightshade bs. As well as demonstrate that it is indeed just noise. Unsure if I should train qwen image or ltx2. Which do you think would be better? The best open source image generator VS the best open source video generator? Coke VS Pepsi, ketchup VS mustard, McDonald's VS burger King, KFC VS Popeyes, will our reigning champ Purdue beat challenger Tyson? On a serious note wanting to have some ideas though.
 
The whole porn conversation is weird because if you're AI generating porn or scantily clad images of someone, you really aren't making a true representation of them, the body very likely doesn't match how their body looks. The shape and proportions are very likely different, AI probably gives them moles or freckles where they don't have them. There's something illogical in us that makes us want to assume that "grok put that person in a bikini" is actually showing us them in a bikini.

And it's true that it's damaging if people believe it's real. But also consider that no one needs to believe it's real for it to be incredibly damaging and embarrassing. Like, imagine some student takes a picture of his teacher and does a shit job with the line selection tool outlining her face and just pastes it on top of porn, to where it's incredibly obvious that the photo has been edited and no one would ever believe it's real. But if that was shared far and wide, you really don't think the teacher would find that incredibly embarrassing anyway? They're not gonna say, "oh it's obviously not me so I can just laugh it off." Someone made porn of you. It's practically just as bad.

That's partly why I don't buy the "increased harms" idea that AI makes it so much faster and easier to create this stuff. You can shittily cut out a face and paste it onto porn in 10 seconds. You can upload it to dozens of sites and share it around if you want to be an asshole, and it might take a long time to be removed from some of them, if ever. It takes intention to do that kind of thing, AI doesn't automate the process of sharing it, or of causing targeted harm or reputational damage. Target people for misuse, not tools.

I think the one thing that will obliterate Zoomer minds is that people who joined Newgrounds in the old days to make things in flash to make transgressive content isn't all that different from how a lot of people using AI makes transgressive content.

People see Newground as this haven for artists, which is partially true, but a massive portion of the website is dedicated to the lowest-brow content like dress-up games, torture simulators, shooting games where you take shots at contemporary politicians, not to mention the copious amount of meet and fuck games that were hosted on the website.

Considering how AI is used to make vapid shock content that hops onto trends, there is a good chance the same people who got into the golden age of Flash would be the kind of people making utterly retarded shit using AI.
