No one here thinks Destiny can be leveled with or that he's good faith. Commenting on his behavior, or how one would behave in a similar situation, or how one should behave in a similar situation, is just commenting on behavior in general. I don't think anyone here thinks Destiny will change, and no one here thinks Destiny is earnestly introspective. I think he has a personality disorder that completely prevents him from being able to even see wrong doing on his part. There's no point in arguing with the little guy. He will just try to manipulate the situation. All of his struggles are due to his own actions. The response shouldn't be to coddle him and operate on his level. Like what he does is up for debate or discussing it is something that needs to happen within his parameters. He's an evil wretch that should be treated like a cockroach.
I'm not sure where it came from or why people in this thread still think he can be leveled with or that he's reasonable or in any way "good faith". There's no point deconstructing what he says and arguing it, it's not meant to make sense - it's meant to create an appearance that his behavior is in question and grey rather than obviously attrocious. Everything he says is a manipulation tactic. He doesn't want to see the light or understand things, he just wants to portray himself as God. Why is this still confusing to some people?
I would actually like to know what he thinks a fitting punishment for him would have been because it tells me a lot about him. If people want to just call him an evil rapist and call it a day, that's fine, but it's also very boring.
Also, his downfall started before the leaks. He had already been smeared by Norm, Peterson, Candace, etc, prior to the leaks.I caution against using this framing because it allows him to place the blame of his stagnation on a singular external event, when he is solely responsible for his failures. The fact is Destiny has always been such an insufferable self centered person, that all his content creators friends inevitably try to distance themselves as much as possible. Its funny how much former orbiters hate the stain of ever having interacted with him. Even Lauren Southern seems to be less ashamed of her alleged rapist, Andrew Tate, than she is of having slept with Destiny. It's pretty clear that Pxie is more ashamed of it being revealed that she slept with Destiny, than the actual sextape.
Destiny's ego led to him trashing all of the people he had gotten somewhat friendly with. He picked a fight with Lex Fridman publicly because he was upset about Trump.
His issue with his orbiters started because of the leaks, but his rise to mainstream had already been cut out from the knees because he couldn't handle showing his belly to so many people he hates. So he had to go hard in the other direction so he could pretend like he wasn't a bitch. Destiny probably has a hierarchy system in his mind when it comes to his interactions with other people. Yes, he'll interact with smaller streamers, but he probably doesn't view them as his equals. So when it came to a lot of these people that he showed the belly to, he probably lost his mind because he allowed them to be higher on the hierarchy.
I'd say Norm was the first one to do a big blow to him, but Destiny started fighting with all the big conservatives in July of 2024. I can't remember if the Lex bridge burn happened in July or if it wasn't until November. But it was all within that time span.
