MPD grabbed some rioters then left, seems to have sucked the energy out of this riot in particular. Couple dozen urban youths spread out across a couple blocks. I did hear “ICE hotel” a couple times so idk if they’re going to one? Probably would be a bad idea
Now when you say ice hotel...

The taking out loans on unrealized gains thing should be addressed eventually. I just don't trust them to do it effectively without fucking everyone else and not solving it.

The strategy is if you are some tech billionaire or whatever and have a bunch of stock that is almost entirely capital gains and you want to buy your yearly super yacht, instead of selling it and paying 23.8% tax (20% capital gains + NIIT), you instead go to the bank and take out a loan at a low rate with the stock securing it as collateral.

You don't pay any tax on the loan because you have to use after tax income to pay it off. If you pay off the loan like a normal person, you end up having to pay taxes because the money you use to pay it isn't tax free. If you default on the loan the IRS treats it as you selling the stock and you have to pay the capital gains you otherwise would have had to anyways.

So like all good tax strategies, you just wait until you die. The stock gets a step up in basis eliminating all unrealized capital gains and the loan is payed off. Effectively allowing you to spend the money without paying any capital gains tax.

This strategy was more effective when interest rates were super low, but even now I'm surprised at how many years it would take for the loan to cost more than the capital gains you would have had to pay (assuming you put the amount you would have had to pay into t-notes).

"The attacked officer and subject are both in the hospital. Both attackers are in custody "
Fan-fucking-tastic. This is the important part right here -- ICE got who they were after despite the interference, fucked up the one they were after when he tried to hurt them, and caught the busybody neighbors too. Nobody died, either (though I always consider it a wasted opportunity when a leftist protester is wounded but not killed).

This is a victory for everyone except the left. No death, so no "wrongful death" suit. The shooting was "in the leg," which is literally what leftists always demand police do anyway, so they can't even try to argue the agent was "trying to murder" the suspect. There's undoubtedly good, high-quality footage of the entire encounter, likely from multiple agents, to prove the alleged attacks by the bystanders (no claiming -- in court that is, where it matters -- the bystanders were innocent). The original suspect (the illegal) didn't get away and has suffered immediate punishment for fleeing and attacking an agent (shot in the leg and arrested, soon to be deported). The other attackers didn't get away with sticking their noses in either. They're in custody now too.

Based as fuck. ICE needs to do more of this.

Boomerslop incantations. "Onward!" Who the fuck is he talking to? People on the Internet? I honestly hate this kind of low-IQ shit from the right.

Minneapolis rioters successfully BROKE OPEN a weapons locker in a federal vehicle and STOLE A RIFLE and ammunition before fleeing
The response tomorrow, and I mean an actual response, not Tweets, needs to be Roman, or we're not serious here.
