An Igla was fired at one of the choppers and the countermeasures could have been ineffective, and the flight leader of the Chinooks was wounded in several places in his leg by some kind of enemy fire but he kept doing his job while his copilot took main control of the craft. If they had had the sense to set up concealed HMGs around Maduro's location they could have caused the operation some real trouble requiring the backup forces to be called in, turning it into an urban brawl instead of some high speed low drag shit.
