i don't believe that, because they've never cared about that before. to me it comes across more like they desperately wanted everyone to think they knew beforehand so they don't lose any credibility. clearly NYT and WaPo writers read KF and know we were making fun of them for not getting it leaked.

Press X to doubt, but if true, it was probably the right decision. Leaking it would have just alerted the Venezuelan military to scramble - and while I know everyone will immediately think "ah yes and that'd get a bunch of americans killed, total communist victory, exactly what they want" the realistic result would be a panicked and low quality response that just opens a massive can of new targets to buttfuck, getting a lot more of their wholesome narcosocialist comrades killed, not americans.

A surprise strike like this is the best outcome for everyone involved. Maduro and his family are alive, minimal casualties among both forces, and minimal infrastructural damage. And I'm sure the socialist newspapers can assuage their guilt by making this a massive L for Russia, between their equipment being absolutely trounced and their 'secret' merchant fleet losing a major port and ally for evading sanctions.

Originally I wasn't entirely for the United States interacting with countries unless needed, especially fucked up third world shitholes that should learn to solve their own problems. But after the constant "Trump bad, anything who disagrees with me is ist/phobic" (especially from my family, who would probably disown me if they knew have the shit I "believe in") and seeing how the lack of intervention will fuck with America anyway, I'm now 100% for wiggernuking them and now firmly believe that everything under the sun is US property.

I wouldn't have heard if my family haven't insisted on badgering me on the phone about it. I have to ask, who has the right to remove Maduro and his government? The people were taken over and oppressed by communist dictators, and those same people proceeded to use their ill-gotten resources and wealth to effect and harm other nations.

Is the only people who can overthrow a tyrant its own people? Those who are oppressed and demilitarized? That essentially means they are condemned to oppression until another member of the regime decides to take control, and then they might be given respite, but even that is unlikely.

What about other nations who have been affected by the Venezuelan regime? Do they get no recourse? Do they just have to suffer in silence, as Venezuela buys off their leaders and invades them with drugs and gangs? This mindset is weak, pathetic, and disgusting, but it's to be expected of the modern Frenchman.

The United States pioneered modern liberal democracy. While America was trailblazing a new system of government by and for the people, nearly all of Europe was still bowing down to opulent, inbred, overfed vampires and letting them fuck their wives before their wedding nights.

Fuck it, we already have troops in Europe. There should be a Special Military Operation to liberate all the imprisoned chuds who said mean words.
