If you have never flown one of these before, there is no comparable experiance, you feel like a bird or superman as dumb as that sounds, you REALLY DO.
Its so easy a child or mentally challenged person can learn and use it in MINUTES (ask me how I know)
those fucking chinese cooked so hard with this thing, the drone FOLLOWS YOUR HEAD MOMENTS and the controller is motion sensitive, so your not so much controlling the drone as your moving with it, I know that sounds retarded but you have to try it, best comparison I can think of is when your on a sailing ship, it just feels as close to symbiosis with nature as one can get.
very quickly your not even realizing your controlling a drone it just feels like natural flying, thats how effortless it becomes and extension of your own movments.
In the community this drone is seen as "cheating" beacuse it makes it "to easy" to get into FPV drone flying, most of the community belives (with some validity) you should have to know how to build your own drones to be a qualified operator. The big boy 5 inchers can go up to 100 MPH plus and those boundrys are being pushed every day
But as far as something modular, scalable and easy to distribute and teach en masse?
THIS IS THE SAME COST AS 1 RIFLE!
Remove the CAS aspect of them for a second and just as a inteligence gathing tool this is INSANE, add the fact they are LETHAL and light and cheap to replace?
its has so much scalability to, you can make a "high end" headset that you give to more elite soldiers that have far longer range and other capabilities (networking, jamming ect..) while making all the drones reverse compatible with either low or high end goggles.
I could go on and on about this, mostly how all this is somewhat dated now as the whole "game" has switched to fiber optic but the concept and way of controlling it remains the same.
You can make a "good enough" drone operator in a single day, it takes many months of practice to get a riflemen to "good enough"

(BTW you do have to register the avata 2 with the feds and take an absurdly easy class for a "license"just like all other drones above 0.55 LBs)
