The "sluts" in this case were girls between the ages of 10-15 or so by the way. He sperged way more in that thread.

Venezuela's military was told to stand down, that much seems obvious. Some segment of their military wanted Maduro gone.

I'd disagree, it seemed apparent this was a third world military rendered blind, deaf, and dumb, by jamming, strikes on key communication facilities, coordinated movement, and violence of action. They don't usually have "autonomous" lower level commanders, (meaning, if they couldn't communicate, they couldn't fight), and they did not know this was an attempt to capture Maduro.

Impressive work by Trump, Rubio, and the military who pulled this off. It took us 9 months to do the same thing with Saddam and 10 years with Osama, and only 2 hours this time around. I don't think this helps Trump in the mid terms at the moment but we don't know the full plan yet. If he plays his cards right here then it'll be unquestionable. Especially since the Dems are protesting against the US on behalf of a hostile foreign leader. It would be wise to give them the Eugene Debs treatment.

My worry is what the "control of Venezuela" will look like. It appears that the Churro loyalists are still in power. If there's nothing there you're trading one churro for another, but at the same time no one wants another Afghanistan. My guess is Trump will try to cut a deal with the Venezuelan remnant to allow some kind of US precense in the country then transition to a democracy. Long term they'll encourage migration back to New Venezuela.

Does Rubio have ambitions to run in 2028?

There was no resistance whatsoever. Venezuela has a fuckton of manpads that can shoot down helicopters hovering directly overhead. There doesn't seem to be much dispute that the CIA flipped a good many higher-ups.
