2025 US and Venezuela Conflict - Operation Just Cause 2: 2 Just 2 Cause

There is literally an elected government with Eduardo Gonzalez as it's official head and Maria Mochado as it's actual head that was voted into power in July 2024, which made Maduro tism out and nullify the election so he could keep his churro stash safe.
I would have hoped that Trump would have overtly mentioned in his statement to the public that these were the people that they're working on getting into power if that's the case. The lack of overt pointing to a legitimate, non-military successor government has me worried, especially since he was overtly asked multiple times by reporters who would be taking over, to which he pretty much answered the United States would be without providing a timeline for when civil governance would resume.

I can only hope that this was merely an oversight and that the elected government is the government they will roll with, but the lack of statement mixed with the talks about American oil companies getting involved has me worried.

There has to be a military occupation. At least until the militia is under control. There is a power vacuum right now and if the US doesn't get a foothold in Venezuela then the country will be even worse with the militia at his head.
LOL that would happen because the US without and the and the US with Trump never had competence

so what do you guys think is the actual reason why this happened?
is oil too obvious of an answer? Venezuela has the most crude oil in the world.

I’d prefer it if Trump pardoned Derek Chauvin, but he’s too busy doing the bidding of whatever intelligence agency has tapes of him raping kids.
and then what? he'd still be in prison without a state level pardon to go along with it (and considering that governor is Walz: fat fucking chance), same way his pardon of Tina Peters doesn't mean shit without Colorado going along with it.

This whole ordeal is particularly embarrassing for a certain Nation

Turd-worldists are in absolute shambles rn.

Doesn't matter, Maduro is almost certainly going to get the same treatment as Alexei Navalny did - he'll get indicted on charges that conveniently throw him in jail for years in the US until he's quietly disposed of once the powers that be decide it's time.
He'll get what Noriega did, in US prison then Venezuelan prison for the rest of his life. Noriega was in prison except the last 5 months of his life, after 25 years he was released in January 2017 then dead in May from brain cancer or some shit
While the problem is the blatant overreach of US Authority to do what just happened
Arresting wanted criminals under federal indictment is not an overreach of US authority. No one is above the law :story:
Why do you think the US was going after that one tanker until it started hiding under the Russian flag?
That tanker still has USN vessels right beside it in the Atlantic

Forgive me if this is asked and answered, but...did I read that right? Maduro's been indicted in the SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF NEW YORK?! As in, the same SDNY run by Letitia James? The same SDNY that fucked up prosecuting her mortgage fraud because it's run by shitlibs still?

If that is the case, then...doesn't that render this whole thing expensive meaningless theater? Will he not in fact get off because the people in charge are TDS shitlib retards who'll deliberately sabotage the case?
She's the AG of the state of New York. The Southern District of New York is a federal district where cases are tried by federal prosecutors before federal judges. They're separate things—one's a state baboon and the other is run by fed glowies.

It's not a coincidence I recognize the usernames of some of the most overt sneeding ITT and elsewhere in Happenings from my days having to play babysitter to a bunch of retarded children engaging in autism holy war in any Ukraine-related thread before we formally separated them into their respective hugboxes.

There's a bunch of reasons:
-Maduro emptied VZLA prisons and insane asylums during the Biden admin to destabilize USA with violent 'refugees'. Taking him out lets Trump deport them to a friendly government that will lock up/institutionalize them again. It also provides fodder for sending the peaceful Venezuelan refugees back since the government they are fleeing is currently on the outs and one more friendly to them is likely to take power
-In general it seeds ground for more punitive actions than sanctions being taken against narco-state LatAm shitholes flooding the country with fent and their underclasses (Puta Judia in MX and Petro's government in Colombia being the most on notice)
-Opening up Venezuelan oil to American companies means it can be more easily distributed to the third world/Europe, which deprives funds from Russia and Iran and will accelerate the current uprisings in the latter and paralyze the war machine in the former.
-Less Chinese influence in our back yard is a good thing, most of the time, especially since they are the ones manufacturing most of the precursor chemicals the Narcos assemble and ship northwards.
Plus every other South American country hates that they're filled with Venezuelan refugees and criminals, and if things go even moderately okay in Venezuela then those countries have justification to make them go back. So all the other South Americans will be hopeful and, ideally, grateful that Trump changed the playing board enough that they can get rid of the Venezuelan immigrants. That helps Trump and America's standings in Latin America, which goes to containing China's influence in the region.

I hope the end result will make it so the whole continent improve from less drug trade and perhaps a reversal of the flow from many Venezuelans going back.

I don't follow the South American scene but even reversing the hyperinflation should be good. I'm waiting for the knock-off effect of this.

Venezuelan immigrants are easily one if the worst LatAm immigrant groups, so if Trump by some miracle creates a country they would want to self deport to then he would be greatest president of all time. I have my doubts of course of his ability to nation build, but time will tell.

How does the president of a narco shithole country get captured in less than a day? At least go into hiding like Saddam Hussein did.
Probably bought into his own propaganda disastrously lowering his guard. You would think that anybody would call up to him saying that they were getting bombed but it seems that he only started to move when he heard English inside his own home.
We were really down bad during Biden with his admin intentionally destroying the country.
The only thing I want to see this term is Alejandro Mayorcass and Antony Blinken swinging out of a helicopter.

lol when did wave flagging expat patriots ever return to their shithole? Expect more spics to replace the deported ones.
