I would have hoped that Trump would have overtly mentioned in his statement to the public that these were the people that they're working on getting into power if that's the case. The lack of overt pointing to a legitimate, non-military successor government has me worried, especially since he was overtly asked multiple times by reporters who would be taking over, to which he pretty much answered the United States would be without providing a timeline for when civil governance would resume.There is literally an elected government with Eduardo Gonzalez as it's official head and Maria Mochado as it's actual head that was voted into power in July 2024, which made Maduro tism out and nullify the election so he could keep his churro stash safe.
I can only hope that this was merely an oversight and that the elected government is the government they will roll with, but the lack of statement mixed with the talks about American oil companies getting involved has me worried.
