More good news for Commiefornians.
Leprino Foods is closing up shop in California in 2026, winding down their operations in the state and moving to Lubbock Texas.

OK why should anyone care when a single company decides to close up and move to another state?
For one, Leprino Food has been operating out of California for over 115 years. But they only employ around 300 people so no big deal right?
Well, yes kinda a big deal. Leprino Foods is the world largest producer of commercial grade mozzarella. And it's product is used by every major pizza producer across the US and Canada. Local pizza chains can now expect costs to rise even further as they will now have to pay more to get the same cheese they're customers have come to love. Some will have to raise prices while others will chose to move to another company's product and hope that customers won't notice.
Due to demand, and the helpful people of Lubbock, Leprino Foods will be opening a massive new facility covering almost 20 whole acres. And will employ around 650 locals to produce an estimated 8 million pounds of cheese per year.
Dude...that's a lot of cheese. No one tell Null or he will end up in Texas too.
When asked why Leprino Foods choose to close up shop after 115 years the company simple said;
The company said in 2024 that the move to close the California plant was a "difficult decision and one we do not take lightly."
"This decision is influenced by several factors, including the facility’s age, anticipated capital requirements to make improvements to the facility and add or replace equipment and systems, high operating costs in California, the long-term milk supply outlook."
So yet another local, long term Californian company is closing shop and moving to Texas because of high costs of operating, poor local economic factors and heavy state regulatory burdens.
But hey Newsome will surely not push the very same policies that are not so slowly destroying Commiefornia when he become President right?

. I guess my underlying personal problem is I just really personally cant see how this changes anything really long term. I do admit that I could/can be entirely wrong so I am not hard set on this, Im willing to change my mind/outlook. I just will have to wait and see if anything comes of this that will materially better our lives.
