i will point you to one of the greatest american victories, world war 2, and how we did not integrate women in any way beyond temporary as-needed medics and manufacturers and other non-combat roles until AFTER that, with the Women's Armed Services Integration Act of 1948. so in actuality, it is EXTREMELY american to reject women from the military, because the criteria allowing them to serve in a permanent capacity was not implemented until the liberalization of the US began in the 1940s. before this, women were ineligible to enter the armed forces as soldiers of any kind, and only for temporary non-frontline positions otherwise. before this law was signed, women were only allowed to hold non-medic roles in the military during an active, declared war.
