Ontario bans Winter gas and electricity disconnections for non-payment between November and April. Multiple provinces do this, and yes, broke bums plan their finances around when they can stop paying their utilities, keeping in mind this debt does accumulate over time.
 
In my mind, I call the cat Nocat in a reference to Homer's Odyssey because Chantal looks like my favorite version of Polyphemus, the one from the '90s NBC miniseries.

I know, but I guarantee her beezers don't. And Chantal lies about easily searchable information every time it benefits her. She claimed alcohol is illegal in Syria despite Damascus having a few nice pubs and she claimed honor killings are common in Kuwait. When she first got to Kuwait, she said the women all have to wear hijabs and don't drive cars. She claimed all sorts of dumb shit about locations in the middle east and availability of services.

She lies about the price of everything (high or low) whenever she thinks it benefits her. Takeout food costs less when she wants to excuse it, and car rentals were allegedly twice as expensive as the week before because she wanted more paypal donations. She's lied about public transportation because she didn't want to take the bus. All of these things are searchable in 5 seconds online.

When she falls behind on rent and finally admits it, she'll claim she's facing electric loss and maybe even eviction into the snowy streets of Ottawa. Evictions take well over 6 months and the electric can't be shut off. But she'll lie and then the only thing she'll admit when caught is that she didn't know (even though many people will have told her about it by then).

It all goes back to "if she was smart". She just is not. With her subscriber/member/cameo numbers she should have been paying someone to manage her since she is too lazy to do it. Entertainment is changing rapidly and the way that people consume content, where, and how. As we have all witnessed many times between various figures and lolcows and what Chantal recently found out, these platforms can fuck you at any time for any reason so you need to cross promote and evolve. She should have been going on that absolutely terrible keemstar lolcow brainrot garbage and getting paid. She should have been trying to get a deal with stake/kick, if BMJ can get the most insane offer of a million dollars a year Chantal could have gotten a little something outta Evil Eddie. She does not even have fucking merch, which is the real money maker.

Like everything else eating slop is more important and she completely squandered a massive, bigger than her, opportunity.

I have family members who have used homegrown marijuana since the 60's and never heard of such a thing so it does sound ridiculous that cannabis use would make someone so ill, but the difference between a joint and those extra strength edibles is like the difference between opium and heroin. To my knowledge there isn't that much scientific data on the effects of super concentrated cannabinoids consumed in such large quantities because it is a relatively new thing.

You're right, and that's why I always roll my eyes when people say that weed is harmless.

Like of course, compared to heroin and meth, it is. But there's much more that goes into it than smoking someone's homegrown stuff, especially if you are getting it from dispensaries.

The weed people smoked even 15 years ago (let alone the stuff from the 60s) is not the same as the stuff as today.


Most people making their own edibles make a butter concoction (and still do for personal uses) to make edibles, so I think that's why the idea of "edibles don't get you as high as bud" came from.

But on an industrial scale, what I've seen is to use something that's basically pure THC oil (I forget what it's called). But basically you still are getting more THC from a dispensary edible than a hippie old woman who made them from her kitchen.

Especially if you are Chantal and regularly do 1000mg at once. Usually even heavy users can do 100mg a week as a standard (10mg a piece of chocolate or gummy, or 100mg for the entire product), but sometimes even that lasts normal people a month.

But of course. Chantal ain't normal people.

Every mid to large city in Canada and the US has pet sitters and pet boarding facilities with ratings on various reputable review websites like yelp.

Christmas/New Year is peak time for boarding facilities. They often fill all available spots months in advance. Her only real option would be a pet sitter, but her apartment is already so filthy she’d never let anyone have free access to it. She has no friends near her that she could possibly trust, and she’d be paranoid that anyone she hired would release photos. That cat will be locked in the apartment for the duration, and too be fair, it’s a cat. It’ll be fine for a couple of days left alone with clean litter, clean water and adequate food. Sure, it’s not ideal, and the cat could potentially do all manner of damage, but it’s not going to die being left alone for a couple of days, unless something catastrophic happens, and that could happen if she gone for 30 minutes or 36 hours.
 
She would need a pet sitter because your pets must be up to date on vaccination to use a boarding facility. I doubt the cat even has its first set of vaccines.

I wouldn’t trust her to put the cat in a reputable boarding facility, or with a good pet sitter.

She’d go with whoever is the cheapest. The cat might be safer just being holed up in the apartment.
 
I'm realizing as she continues to eat on cam despite all the deplatforming, that it's literally a nervous habit she uses to talk to people. The same way smokers or drinkers can do a conversation "better" with their preferred vice in their hand, Foodie literally gets worse at talking if she's not punctuating it with big calorie mouthfuls.
