Try bringing your stocks in some lads. Your moving the weight closer too your body and if you find your wrist slightly straining at the trigger, swap the pistol grip.

Long AR stocks are a hold over from antiquated shooting techniques now seen only in slowfire.

Of all the things to critique the WWSD rifles for, lacking a FA and too long a stock are a bit silly to focus on.

It's not so much it was lacking a FA since it was offered, just that Ian and Karl spent a lot of time and energy complaining about it and not wanting it while peddling fudd lore about it and dismissing any thing in support of it.

It's not that we want a fully extended stock, it's that we would prefer an adjustable stock so we can fine tune it. Monolithic stocks are dated by modern standards. It was also curious that WWSD was trying to be sold as what an infantry rifle should be and it takes up a lot space because of the stock. Of course Karl did not and probably still does not understand why bullpups are thing in certain militaries.

My own personal gripe is I know I would dislike the pistol grip angle but good luck swapping that out.

Cuz nothing says quickly armed militia like a bougie gamer gun that costs 3-4x more than a standard issue m4 with low-production bespoke parts you won't be able to quickly find replacements for at the armory or any local gun store.

Depending on your perspective, it's either better or worse than that. It was more of an alternative-history take on what would have been a design that could be mass produced cheaply and quickly at scale rather than an attempt to make it actually affordable in real-world limited-production runs. The problem with all of this is that alt-history is intrinsically gay and masturbatory since (a) it deals entirely with counterfactuals and (b) as a result of this, nothing can ever be proven definitively false. OK, Karl and Ian, maybe if the government had gone all-in on the idea of making disposable plastic shitguns then we could make them as cheaply as disposable razors, but maybe if Japan had won the war and made anime real you wouldn't exist because your moms would have been sterilized after having their uteruses shredded during a standard tentacle rape.

Honestly it all sounds like a pointless boondoggle and ego project with Karl or Ian later saying that it’s just a citizens defense gun to quickly arm militias. Which is also dumb because there’s off the shelf ARs and plenty of options to fill in that gap.

I think people unfairly shit on the wwsd rifles because they're attached to Karl. They're great rifles. They're not "gamer" guns at all. They're just pencil barreled ARs on a polymer lower. Pencil barrels are great feeling. Have them on all my ARs that aren't clones or super safe guns.

I'll shit on the rifle. The wwsd were gassed and sprung so badly just shooting the rifle could lift up the bolt catch. The lowers had some wild qc and some of them would drop the mag, again just by firing.
