So, what would happen if congress, as part of the appropriations bill, decided to cut SNAP in half. Are the courts going to try and tell the legislature they can't do that?

Put me in for the funniest possible timeline.

First courts have to have a case to make a ruling. So some ebt nigger would have to sue the government over lower ebt. Then they have to argue the case as to why the deserve more ebt than congress thinks is acceptable. Could a judge make a ruling that congress has to pay more? Yes. Will it survive appeal? No.

What are these people trying to achieve? What is there to gain through disclosing federal agents' locations and obstructing detainments and deportations of obviously illegal immigrants that shouldn't be in the country to begin with?

The democrats think if they stop enough deportations, than a combination of illegal votes and fraud will allow them to take over congress and undo all of Trump's agenda. Smashing windows stops ICE from using that vehicle to make arrests till the window is fixed. Harassing agents, and blocking vehicles slows down ICE agents. This is all about running out the clock to the midterms. Personally I think Trump is already done too much damage for them to make a national comeback, but that's just me.

You're trying to imagine some 4D chess moves, no American politician is remotely tactful or intelligent enough to do this.
Not to mention...... Making the filibuster permanent isn't really... A thing, I guess you could say? The filibuster is just a loophole in Senate rules that exists because technically you can just choose to never end debate. It isn't positive law, it's a consequence of the way the rules were written, and Senate rules can be amended with a 2/3rds majority, or through some complicated legal chicanery, with a simple majority of 51/100, dubbed the Nuclear Option.

"Making it permanent" isn't really a logical thing, what you're saying is for Republicans to try and codify the filibuster into an actual legal instrument so that the Democrats will be against it, so that the Republicans can get rid of the filibuster when the Democrats don't support it? This entire line of reasoning doesn't really make sense.
