Honestly I think it will make things worse. Virginia isn't just another State in the Union. Its the capital State. The vast bulk of federal power that is not in DC is in Virginia, to include the department of defense, the Marine Corps HQ, the Armies National Capital Area Command, the CIA, and on and on, including all the workers and officials who work in DC. Very little is actually in Maryland because Maryland sucks. Its been run by Democrats and the Baltimore machine for a century and has all the attending problems such long term democratic party control has on a State that Illinois deals with. Nobody wants to live or work there, not even federal agencies or their rank and file workers.
