Mutahar is a social chameleon, he will suck up to whoever is currently at the top and will follow whatever trend is profitable. He has no inherent beliefs that matter and will lie about the most minute shit for no reason(see: the engineer fiasco). There is no reason to question any of his decisions, he just wants more clout and he will do whatever it takes to get it. If it made him money, he would be buddy-buddy with Jirard tomorrow.

I guess he's just really entertained by them and knows it's not gonna hurt his viewership more than the other Exposés already have. Honestly, he's a lying pajeet, but I have a small bit of respect for that.

he said he watched hours upon hours of Phil in order to method act. i was very impressed, especially at the start. the hand gestures, facial expressions, and other mannerisms were all on point to an uncanny extent. and the goatee + button-up completed it.

They go off right before the content starts (fairly consistently at 9) so its a bit of a meme that it's dogshit and people purposefully join after it to avoid hearing it. They probably starting playing the movie, realized they didn't play it, and did it anyway.
