just say the elphant in the room that donald should not of won 2016 & 2024 election but hillary & camalia where unlikeable people.]
2016 you are wrong; you need to reacquaint yourself with Trump's primary run from near dead last to the front runner in 6 months. Its a thing of beauty. He did exactly what he needed to do with was not go after the top dogs until he was ready, but using the peopel directly ahead of him to build momentum.
It wasn't just that Hilary was unlikeable (though that helped) they would have needed to run a Blue Dog who could have out-trumped Trump. Bernie would have gotten shredded, but at least it wouldn't have been an openly and embarrassingly rigged system. Trump (and I'm using that as the term for the enter Trump campaign apparatus not just as man himself) campaigned smart by basically writing off California and other vote-blue-no-matter-who hellholes and focused on battleground states.
This not only concentrated on grabbing voters from where they were the most valuable, but this plus energizing the base in Red states with the big rallies gave the impression of groundswell of support.
Now, you can say this isn't a very good-for-the country way to campaign and I can't say you're wrong, just that Trump didn't invent it - only took it to its logical conclusion.
You can also say that Trump shouldn't have won in 2016 and I wouldn't wholly disagree with you: that someone who who had never served in elected office shouldn't have been able to get the top slot. But Trump's 2016 win was 100% grand strategy from the grassroots on up, and he earned that shit.
or to tl;dr: Trump's 2016 win was because ALL politicians are unlikeable, not just his opponent.
2024 you are probably right... UNTIL Trump got shot. I thought it would have been toss up on who America hated the least, but that moment I the Dems were fucked. The Democrats had done nothing productive from 2020-2024 (well unless you were a tranny or a nigger) to help the country and by nearly ever metric every non-tranny, non-nigger person in the US was worse off. There was no "positive" campaign the Dems could run in 2024, the only thing they could do was go negative and say the other guy was worse.
And that strategy was knee-capped when one of their deranged NPCs got so wound up they killed a man and shot their opponent. there was no way they could do attack ads with any teeth after that.
