Charlie Kirk was shot at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah on Wednesday.

Bystanders report seeing Kirk shot near his neck during a Q&A with students.

A suspect is in custody, according to a UVU alert sent to students. The campus is on lockdown.

Multiple reports currently say Charlie Kirk made it to the hospital and is currently stable but the extent of his injuries and likelihood of recovery isn't currently known. He is in critical condition.

That's not how it works. Reaganomics was about reducing taxes, NOT taxing the poor. Wasn't even primarily about taxes at all though, it also was about cutting government spending, decreasing regulation, and controlling the money supply to combat inflation. Turns out when you print money for dumb liberal projects it increases inflation without any benefits, only more problems like increased crime. Weird huh?

The fact the gun recovered near the scene was described as a single shot bolt action rifle effectively makes the arguments for Charlie being the victim of his own purported policies moot. In case people don't know pretty much every country in the western world allows some form of bolt action rifle to be owned by the general public either for hunting, sport shooting or no declared reason at all. He wasn't shot with an AR style weapon, he was shot with a weapon that hundreds of millions of people outside the US have easy access to.

I think there's some cosmic irony found in some of Kirk's past statements given how he died, especially given the timing of the shot combined with what was being said (gang violence, holy shit)

But there is no context in which a man like Kirk deserved to be gunned down in broad daylight in front of a bunch of civilians and his own wife and children. Anyone sperging about how they're glad he's gone and how much he deserved it on socials are genuinely psychotic and aren't considering the nuance of how horrific of a political assassination this is.
