This video's a classic. Or rather, the entire game is a classic. I'm serious. The game's good fun, the plot's nothing but a lighthearted joke plot to not take seriously, and it's also got Konami's classic difficulty in it.

Keep in mind that RND isn't the only retard to cry about this game's plot. You can join just about any retro vidya or adjacent server and you can use this game to immediately identify any retard in a 5 mile radius because they can't help themselves but cry about it. Extra points to servers like BootlegGamesWiki's server, TCRF-adjacent servers, and many more for randomly bringing up the game sometimes just to shit on it. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if someone posts about this in TCRF itself and gets banned for talking about it. Any volunteers?

As for me? I think I want a complete in box copy, and to gladly display it off. It will be worth every cent just for the tears it produces.

You can do the same thing with goemon. Those games makes fun of trannies a lot. Almost every game has the same gag where you go into the woman's bathhouse, thinking there's a bunch of hot chicks, only for them to be trannies. One game I'm suprised they never mention is konami's parodius for the MSX. That game has a full on boss where you fight a stereotypical depiction of a black woman. Suprisingly even the remake that came in the mid 2000s didn't censor the boss at all.

Being able to admit that the things you enjoy have flaws (even if said flaws don’t really exist) is one of the hallmarks of being a mature person. I do agree that those sorts of YouTubers can get super performative to appease their communities though.

The ones who actually enjoy old and obscure games are the ones who hardly ever talk about it, generally speaking. No worries. I also played Saving You From Yourself, another art “game” by McCue that barely qualifies as a visual novel. It’s extremely short, lasting no more than ten minutes. The plot is predictably black-and-white: you, a doctor, is a good guy if you let the self-insert drug himself, or utterly evil if you aren’t a doormat and refuse to let an autogynephile harm himself. After playing HFTGOOM and SYFY, I’ve seen enough; I do not want to play more of his games.

There are people who lean right, some openly even. The first one that comes to mind is this dude, an aussie who makes the occasional redpilled joke/comments. Problem is though is conservatism has more or less lost in the tech sector, much as it has in all of entertainment. Every. where. you. go. is run by people who are either fucking insane and should not be in a position of power anywhere, let alone a video game site(xkeeper) or are that meme with the seething red face retard wearing a :^) mask. So, effectively, you cannot exist in these places and show any amount of sympathy for the right wing.

See, most retards don't really look at games that deeply. Like, their comfort zone is usually NES or something safer. Sometimes they might venture out of it to play wacky japanese games, but that's usually for stuff like PC98(the Touhou machine), not the more obscure machines like MSX or X68k. Regardless, if you leave a tranny joke translated on, say, the super nintendo, chances are people will see it. But the MSX? On a untranslated port of a game that, i'm sure, would trigger these people anyways? Might as well not even bother pointing them in the right direction.

Wasn't there a huge troon spergout over a fan translation of one of the Goemon games where the translator translated おかま (okama) as "tranny"? Pretty sure that translation was used in one of the Yakuza games too.

I can relate to that somewhat, I used to lie who I was in the early days of the internet because I wanted to look "cool" and "mysterious"... and was also super terrified of people getting my personal information, even if it was something silly like my favorite color. 2000's internet was just a different world back then.
