so how far is the next nice cinema or good bar from you? is it on the other side of towns maybe?But from an American suburban perspective, that’s ridiculously slow. A 15 minute drive would be driving to the complete other side of the city for me.
they are tiny but they are real supermarkets that sell every food item normal people need.Looking at Munich, for example, there’s a grocery store every few blocks, but they’re tiny. It seems like you’d have to go to multiple stores to get the same selection of an American supermarket.
the big difference is that american supermarkets sell alot of bad non food stuff and alot of slob packaged as premium while europe has alot more special stores still around.
if i want a fancy wine i go to the wine store, if i want some special aged cut of meat i go to the butcher, if i want fresh fish i go to the fishmonger, etc.
