Yea, I'll never understand it. Russia invades Ukraine so that suddenly means Ukraine isn't a shithole to a bunch of people who the day before were pointing out all the CP that Ukraine was producing. Why not just admit that a shithole invaded another shithole?

And now a shithole (India) is upping its alliance with another shithole (Russia). Who gives a fuck? I hope this triggers Trump into deporting all the H1Bs though, but that's a bit :optimistic:

If Russia using trade with India to evade sanctions somehow leads into deporting or greatly reducing the amount of Indians flowing into United States I will not be surprised if there is a rise in a pro-Ukraine sentiment among the American right.

In addition to these proceedings, there’s the SCOTX case filed by Abbot via his general counsel. Response of the Rep, Wu, is due today, and hasn’t been filed yet.
For his sake, I hope he hasn’t retained counsel from the Ty Beard school of when to file a case. But for the sake of the state (and the lulz), I hope he has

Everything has an ulterior motive especially for someone like Putin. Who knows if he actually believes that but maybe he made those remarks to appease the ethnic minorities who Russia has reportedly begun turning to sustain the war effort without angering the proper Russians in the country.

That's hilarious, they're next to God's Chosen with the amount of cognitive dissonance between the suffering they routinely have endured throughout their history and the favor they still perceive they have from God.

I think he's a right-wing pragmatic big tent type of guy who is happy to do whatever as long as he keeps power and no one threatens that. Language, religion, it doesn't matter as long as your pro-Putin. Genuine Russian nationalists who are known as the "Angry Patriots" have in recent years gone against him (they believe he hasn't been handling the war properly) and have faced government crackdowns for their efforts. One of the most prominent individuals among them, Igor Girkin, was convicted on charges of inciting extremism and was sentenced to a penal colony for four years.
