It got a small mention a few hundred pages ago and it's pretty small beans compared to everything else here, but just thought it was worth mentioning that James 'Malding' Hall is still hard at work nuking the Heartbound Steam Discussions. New threads pop up when he's asleep or otherwise too busy to keep his watchful eye over them.
Moderation pattern is very obvious if you watch for a day or two:
- Delete all remotely negative posts and threads, permaban the users
- Sometimes keep positive posts (there's friendly-fire permabans, or at the least the posts get deleted)
- Lock any thread that he can spin positively (usually positive threads)
- Reply with some bullshit and mark it as thread answer
Unless someone else has access to that PirateSoftware dev account, it's him doing all of it manually. Ban message says it's dealt by the developer. This is such embarrassing fucking behaviour from a 40-year-old manchild, how much time does he waste between this, twitch, and discord bans?
If someone keeps an eye on it they might be able to catch a really good thread showing this off. At the moment, there's only two unlocked threads, and one of them must've been dropped mid-cleansing because it has this ridiculous-looking shit where the only comments that weren't deleted were this glazer fag.
Don't know why that one guy stayed while it's replying to deleted ones, including a post defending him and asking a question. Does he think this makes him look good to normal people? Can take a look, there isn't much here though -

Is he still using that "the negative reviews are from people refunding" lie? I recall him saying that reviewers get an option to say they refunded instead of it being automatic, obviously bullshit.
