As someone who has moved and lives (far) away from where I was born and raised, I can empathize with someone who wouldn't do the same, even if there were better opportunities elsewhere.

Like it or not, life was meant to be lived with people, and for most people the majority of their friends and family will be from the same place they grew up in, so even if there's better opportunities elsewhere if the majority of people you know, love, and spend time with are in one area it's rarely worth leaving just for money.

I like Mike Israetel but I agree he didn't get his pro-card because he showed up at way too high BF%, not because of the excuses he made like his tan. He still gives out pretty good advice for regular people interested in hypertrophy and his sense of humor sorta meshes with mine so I can't dislike him. Worst thing he's done is be a little pompous when comparing himself to Metzer which is nothing compared to a lot of the insane people in the bodybuilding space.
