For example, electric cars are still fucking cars. They have gigantic lithium batteries full of the aforementioned child-labour-mined cobalt. They weigh more than normal cars and are harder on existing infrastructure. They do nothing to mitigate the expansion of car infrastructure, being cars. None of the problems that come with cars, from poorly laid-out sprawling concrete island heatsink cities, to suburbs around them where half the people are suicidal from spending their lonely lives commuting two hours to and from work every day, not even emissions and global warming, blah blah blah, are solved by electric cars.
Nobody has any meaningful idea how to revert earth back to preindustrial environmental impacts because killing a few billion people and banning electricity is so unpalatable.

Huge poultry farms use drones to help monitor their flocks, too.
It’s def disturbing to think about how badly the Slave labor has stifled further innovation.a lot of farms are hardly mechanized anymore because it’s cheaper to do illegals let alone autonomically running

I know it isn't new information but jesus christ on a cracker the law subreddit is fucking cancer they are acting like the ruling in the birthright citizens case was related to the birthright citizenship issue and it's just 100% orange man bad posts it's been like that for a while but to see them so blatantly misrepresent what the ruling actually said is wild

gay nigga story time case
6-3 Alito writing libcucks dissenting

The court first holds that the parents are likely to succeed on their claim that the policy of not allowing opt-outs unconstitutionally burdens their exercise of their religion.
“we have long recognized," Alito writes, "the rights of parents to direct 'the religious upbringing' of their children. And we have held that those rights are violated by government policies that substantially interfere with the religious development of children."

Sotomayor: The reverberations of the Court’s error will be felt, I fear, for generations. Unable to condone that grave misjudgment, I dissent.

Based and inshallah pilled.

s anyone interested in commenting on how Biden and Trump and their respective administrations have fucked up regarding climate and the environment?
Trump did block CARB regulations and rules. I do agree more needs to be done.

Big cities are designed to make owning your own car as hostile and inconvenient as possible. To incentivize using public transport, Climate change policy isnt really about climate change. Its about consolidating money and power away from the average person.

Yeah don't we all just love faggot penguins...
This one has irritated me for a long time. IIRC, the documentary the gay penguin claim is based on proves no such thing. All it does is show mateless male penguins raising an abandoned chick. How is this any evidence of homosexuality? They certainly didn't allege that the male penguins were screwing each other. In fact, labeling the penguins as gay (based only on species survival behavior) is politically motivated anthropomorphism and nothing more.

Best thing to do would be to invest a metric fuck ton ($1 trillion+) into thorium based nuclear reactors globally, only problem is those things require plutonium to work. To create plutonium you need U-238 to get irradiated once and it will undergo double beta decay. The country with the largest thorium reserves is India by the way.

To be somewhat fair, automation isn't cheap. Machines need repairs and advanced machines are expensive to fix. Farmers in bumfuck nowhere have to fix these things themselves or hire people to do it, which is more expensive and time-consuming than hiring illegals to do cheap manual labor.

What I find amusing is all the liberals who chant about the importance of farms and the importance of fair wages, but abandon these notions when it comes to illegal immigration. You would think they'd talk about expanding farm infrastructure and bailing out farms, but no. They want to keep slave labor.

By the way, there are a HUGE amount of new agritech and agriservices companies trying to address these issues and they could use the free advertisements... but that means also getting rid of the cheap nannies, the cheap maids, and the notion of a racial voting bloc.

Even further down this wacky rabbit hole, Hispanics and immigrants are polling with MAGA. I was saying for years that mass importing Catholics and making their entire platform about progressive social issues would bite Democrats in the ass and I was right.

I pointed this same thing out in the ICE thread

Not the person you were replying to but this sentence interested me. How is someone annoying you showing you they are on your side? Maybe you aren't actually annoyed and enjoy her company and are simply being sarcastic?

Little of both. It's cute in an endearingly annoying sort of way. Women are like that. When they like you and want to fuck you, they want to show you they're into what you're into. They wear your old shirt or pretend they want to go to the range with you or geek out over whatever hobby.

They also naturally need approval for things, so they think they're showing you that support too. Even though, as a man, you give zero fucks if they're into what you're into. That's not their purpose and not how a man thinks. But that's how women think, so they don't exactly get why a man might genuinely find that annoying.

Another way my wife does it is by finding movies or shows we can watch together or she'll try to pretend she's into whatever I'm watching. Then she'll ask a shitload of retarded ass motherfucking questions. It's enraging but I have enough emotional intelligence to know she's just trying to show how bad she wants dick. Which is understandable.

The golden median fallacy is for children
I've always preferred the term "false compromise fallacy" because that's what it is. It's pretending that your suggestion brings up a new point or adds something to the conversation, when it's just agreeing with one of the 2 sides.

To use the classic example, if one side says slavery should be legal and the other says slavery should be illegal, suggesting that you half the amount of slave owners isn't a compromise. It's just you agreeing that slavery should stay legal.

Bailing out farms would be more popular than bailing out huge car makers that can't afford to pay generous pensions to Boomers. We need farms. We don't need shitty, overpriced cars.

I will buy Honda until I die.
A lot of these people just think meme organic homesteads will feed everyone lol.

I love that shit but I am under no delusion it’s enough to feed people unless gardening for food sees a massive resurgence in practice

These people are so fucking stupid they think food just magically appears in the grocery store without the hard work from actual farms and farmers that provide the food. Then they want to kvetch about "climate change", and who gets the main brunt of THAT particular brand of bullshit? Farmers. Just look at what's happening in the UK and Europe.
