Guess we never saw the actual Meet Your Maker experience then. :lossmanjack:

I'm not going to get my hopes up too high as I imagine the rate of new signatures will slow down drastically after a week or so, but if SKG pulls a miracle comeback specifically off of hate for Jason I'm gonna lose my mind laughing. Jason haters will have done more good for the games industry than Jason's whole career.
If (🌈🌈🌈) SKG does pass, it'll be very interesting to see how Mald will spin his involvement. Will he try to claim the drama he caused by being so critical of it was totally what helped it succeed at the eleventh hour? Or will he completely contradict himself and claim he wanted it to succeed all along?

its probably been said before, but meet your maker doesn't seem that hard to get a working version working online. I'm no expert on the game, but wouldn't it be as simple as fucking map sharing? maybe 5% of the game wouldn't work, but wouldn't the main gameplay loop work just fine? SKG is about that, even SEMI functional is better than 100% dead, so being able to JUST play a repository of maps seems a stupid easy solution. Doom and quake have been doing that for decades.

I can't tell if jason saying all this IS just being an industry shill, or so fucking retarded he can't conceptualize a couple minor design tweaks to make it work. I'm no coder but I've bug tested enough to know whats easier / harder 9 times out of 10, and simply accessing maps is a pretty easy ask.

also his arguement of it not being 100% the same = not preserving is retarded. Plenty of memes or images get preserved at a low resolution but at still non the less preserved, and thats better than nothing by a mile. Id rather have a bit crushed low res version than LITERALLY NOTHING.

Yes, he knows he isn't very skilled.

Speaking of lacking in skills, I kind of want to see whether the average kiwi on here is actually smarter than mald?

Below are 3 of the same type of puzzles in blue prince.

the rules are:

1. there are 3 boxes and the player must deduce the single box that contains the gem.
2. Atleast 1 box contains statements that are all false
3. Atleast 1 contains statements that are all true

puzzle 1:

puzzle 2:

puzzle 3:

20250626_TangentialSpoopyBeefOSkomodo-m3coPqTUz9cxiV5H_source.mp4

Mald failed all of these puzzles btw(I didnt even nitpick, these are all from the same stream lmfao), if you kiwis can get atleast 1/3, you're smarter than a 3 TIME DEFCON WINNER!

I will post a followup with answers in a few hours if you guys attempt this lol. Btw, because Mald failed, the true answer isn't revealed on stream, but I'm pretty sure I've deduced the answer to each box lol
Puzzle 1: The right box has to be true since all boxes contain words, no gems there. The left box is false since the word longest is not the longest word, which means the box which doesnt have the longest word has the gems, since the condition of the middle box "The shortest word has the gems" is fuliflled on both middle and left. Answer is left
Puzzle 2: The right box says that the false statetment has the gems and that the left box is all true, while the left box says it has the gems which contradicts the right box as that would make it a true statement and have the gems. If the right box is neither fully true or false, it could be that the blue box statetments are true, while the gems are in a box with true statetments, that would make the left box the full true box and the middle the fully false box. The left has the gems.
Puzzle 3: Im assuming that both the statetments on the black box are not true, which means the top statetment of the white box is true while the bottom one is not. The left box has all true statetments, this way all conditions are met and the gems are in the middle box

You think you hate Jason enough, but you don't.
I dunno, he's a Blizzard nepo baby hire, and this is exactly what I would expect from modern day Blizzard
I do think Ross should lean into the drama angle and step on this degen's back until the very last day, keeping it fresh in everybody's mind. All the Hasan, Idubbbz, Anisa, Klein drama has been gotten some real airtime since really kicking off in April, and the furfag is a really hateable character, along with his taint licking gunt guards. Having somebody to hate may actually light a fire under people's asses to keep signing.
I would go a step further and try to actually set up a good ol' bloodsports stream between the two by a neutral party, maybe Keemstar, to get even more coverage. Ross is a nice guy, but I have a feeling he's pissed at him enough that he would passively-agressively tear Figboy in half. Maldy has no legs to stand on and everyone hates him, it would be a fantastic stream that would bring even more eyes on the initiative and Keemstar is a clout chasing gnome so of course he would greenlight it.
Someone like Metokur would also do wonders for getting the message out, that is if Jim can stop simping for vtubers for a few seconds. I know he hates the modern game industry and often rants about it in even his modern streams/twitter posts. Speaking of which, if you want to reach out to a crowd of people who are heavily on the internet and love video games, a vtuber interview would also be great. Kirsche is the pick-me girl of the week, but any with a large following will do. Might be a culture shock for poor old Ross to meet one, tho.
This is how Ross needs to start thinking if he wants this to succeed. It's clear he tried his best to go about it the "proper way" but that just isn't enough. His run-in with Jason should have made it abundantly clear by now.

I may be forgetting but has he ever been asked specifically about private servers? I find his logic really fucking funny when he also brags about being a Blizzard employee, the company that made WoW, a game which had probably the earliest and biggest private servers developed for them because people wanted to play the game, even if it wasn't 100% perfect.

Absolutely, the only thing the community probably couldn't emulate was the progression that relied on your maps being raided (if I recall correctly). From what I've seen, the game is quite poor, but it's worth preserving even for the few who still like the game.
Also, only tangentially related (both MYM and this game were published by Behaviour, known for Dead by Daylight), the game Island of Insight also started out as a faux-MMO (I hesitate to call it an actual MMO, it was a "shared space" where you just solved puzzles), but it also sold like ass so the devs made it work fully offline and the community fixed it up, since it had issues. Mald, despite being an autistic sperg himself, vastly underestimates how much work communities who like the games put in so they can play it in the best way possible. If The Crew remained downloadable to this day, I'm sure there'd already be a community server with a one-click install by now, even.

Puzzle 1. Box A is untruthful because Shortest is a longer word than Longest. Box C is truthful because all three boxes have words on them, therefore the gems can only be in box A, because the gems can neither be in box B (gems are not in the box with the longest word) nor box C (gems are not in this box)

I'm too busy to do the other two but I invite anyone else to try

Yea in his original response video 10 months ago, he said that companies have every right to gatekeep their "copyright" and not allow the game to be played on private servers, even after the official servers are shut down.
Basically, he's saying that you, STALKER CHILD, do not DESERVE to run your own private servers

I think I've got it fellas, 9h 39m. 2.6gb file.

Interestingly, VODRecovery isn't able to download this vod- not sure if Twitch fixed deleted vods straggling or there's something fucky with how two streams in one day works, like how TwitchTracker lumps them as one stream:

The dark area is when the first stream went down

I'll get to work uploading my archive here but between cutting it up into chunks and wrestling with KF's uploader it may take a while. At least we've got 400 per chunk to work with now.

Here's a little delicious, relevant little nugget in the meantime:

My issue is that begging for the state to decide what is legal and what is illegal is what caused most of the mess in the first place
Even if the state is sane and righteous in declaring what's legal and what is illegal, enforcement of the law is still a state monopoly, you simply have no other legal means of appeal or alternatives
So the people begging for the law to change in a good way are placing their hopes in the same institution that used its legal machinery to criminalize modding, outlaw DRM circumvention tools, enforce software monopolies, punish emulator devs, protect DRM under copyright law, hand publishers the enforcement power to remotely revoke access, and so much more. And all of that in a system where enforcement is carried out through opaque bureaucracies, lopsided court cases, and extrajudicial threats where a multibillion dollar company can get state backing to crush some guy hosting a fan server, and yet no consumer has any realistic way to enforce even basic contract expectations without drowning in legal fees and regulatory indifference.
Do you see my issue with "we need govt to step in and fix this?"
It boils down to "We know the system screws us 100 times over, but there's nowhere else to go, so let's just scream and sob until it fucks us more gently"

Asking the state to do ANYTHING at this point related to videogames is exceptionally retarded, given that everyone involved in politics either wants to censor them, or wants to ban them. That's on both the Left AND the Right. No one in government understands the medium, and they're too fucking old to understand it.

Though, it is nice to confirm that PirateSofware is an industry plant. Dude's a faggot of the highest order and intentionally misrepresented the entire point "Stop Killing Games" was making. It wasn't just about live service games (a fact he CONVENIENTLY seemed to leave out). Single player games requiring online connections need to end.

a good ol' bloodsports stream between the two by a neutral party [...] maybe Keemstar [...] Someone like Metokur
I can't see Jason agreeing to Keem or any sektur-adjacent host/moderator. The small chance I could see happening is Louis Rossman being a mediator since he's very relevant to the topic and has specifically has been mentioned by Jason as someone acting in good faith; even with that, I think Jason would perceive it as a 2v1 and bow out under that logic. That all said, in the unlikely event Jason talks to someone about SKG it's a small chance he talks to Rossman at all and the debate moderator setup has a fraction of the chance.

How cooked is mald?

mald cooked.webp

In the most recent video uploaded, it is currently restricted to MEMBERS ONLY aka ballwashers who PAY HIM MONEY

Yea that dislike ratio isn't doing so hot. 3:10 is fucking brutal. Coming from the most LOYAL of fans, too.

You get what you deserve, Maldy.

P1
Black - There are words on the box with the gem -> All have words on them -> True
White - "Shortest word is "A" -> True
Blue - "Longest" is the longest word -> "shortest" is longer -> False
Blue -> Has to have both statements false -> Shortest" is longest word -> no gems in white
If gems are in Black then neither Black nor White has 2 true statements. (Black -> no gems in black) (White -> gems have to be in a box with "a")
---------------------------------------------
Gems in Blue

P2
Black -> contradicts itself with blue -> One statement has to be false -> either Blue or White are all True
If blue all true -> White has to be all false -> therefore gems have to be in two boxes -> contradiction
So white has to be all true
-----------------------------------------------------
Gems in white

P3
White -> "Exactly two statements with "TRUE" are false" have to be true (All boxes point to it as true)
Black -> Both statements have to be false (Blue 1 is true, White 1 is true)
White -> Second statement is false
--------------------------------------------------------
Gems in white

Honestly those are quite harder than I would expected. I ain't even sure if I did them right.

He's been doing that "Members First" thing for a bit, starting with the reupload of the Hack & Stache podcast. It stays member's only for a few days and then becomes public.

He did mention that he can't hire anyone new unless the stream expands in one of the deleted vods, so I think it's safe to say he's not quite rolling in dough right now.
