The normie anti-war right comes from the same place as the normie anti-war left: The foreign and military policies of George W. Bush were a disaster which nobody even tries to defend anymore, even the majority of those who supported them at the time. We don't have the bloodthirsty determination it would take to truly nation build because it would mean killing too many people and colonizing rather than temporarily occupying and ruling via a puppet state and regime change without a puppet government is just anarchy that can lead to even worse outcomes. (We came, we saw, he died, it fixed nothing, there is still violent anarchy, it's sexism not to treat me like a strong and wise foreign policy leader)
So, we're not going to pretend otherwise but still may be open to military action when there is a clear and achievable objective that won't cost too many lives or make things worse.
