This isn't directly related to the LA riots but it is about immigration so it's on topic. Has anyone else noticed that assimilation or at least attempting to assimilate just isn't a thing anymore? When I was a kid 20+ years ago immigrants would at the very least try to learn English. That's not a thing anymore.
