Fashion you enjoy; Let's sperg!

Super cute :) I love thrifting and I have a few cool button-ups I've gotten second hand too. I want to post pictures of my clothes, but I'm paranoid that it'll leave me too vulnerable to doxxing tbh.
Thanks! I don't post anywhere else. I'm just hoping no one I know IRL visits KF and if they do don't sperg about fashion.
I'd love to see them, but your worries are very understandable.

Do they use corsets too? Some of the dresses look like it.

Typically no, although you probably could if you wanted. A lolita coord does require a petticoat, though. That's what gives you the right shape. The rigid rules and structure of the fashion are part of the appeal for me. Something about that tickled my autism. Online fashion communities seem to lean very freeform these days, from what I've gathered.

Do any of you have a dream dress or piece? I think it was always this one for me: the Mille Rose JSK.

corsets depend on the coord, usually seen more in gothic and classic in that order. i got a very shapeless dress from an infanta lucky pack and a little ivory corset that makes it look much less like a potato sack. it depends on the corset length + the cut of the dress's waist

milky planet will forever be my favorite because i'm an early 2010s OTT sweet hag. the first dress i got is a dream dress too, it's by pumpkin cat but i don't remember the name.

i can still get this thing on but it's tight around the chest and restricts my breathing (i got it in an S when i was 14). i need to get it tailored because they don't make this dress anymore and it's hard to find others, especially in this color.
i love it so much. i think it's one of the few dresses that could be considered sweet-gothic (bittersweet, even?) and i love the print and colors so much. the sky gradient is just 😩👌
the headbow is somewhere deep in my closet. the skirt is really short, it was even when i was 14-15. the purple is also a really hard color to match but it's so pretty. i just wanna live in the nightmare before Christmas/whatever the halloween town is called (actually it might just be exactly that)

i'm worried what tailoring might cost and how it would be done since it needs to be bigger. it does have shirring on the back, though. i need to get more hair accessories that fit it, i want to coord it with one of those fancy artisan witch hats and some potion bottles so baddddd.

My taste in Fashion Varies between a CoD NPC and Catholic Whimsigoth. Basically a more modest version of the style. I just love the long skirts and the patterns. More less if it's not revealing and feels good, thats fine with me. I dress like an old woman most days anyway.

Nanchatte seifuku (nanchatte meaning something like, "just kidding") is Japanese high school uniform-inspired outfits for fun basically, often blazer-styled ones. Btw, the stereotypical seifuku in cosplay and anime is based on what's usually for middle schoolers, I wouldn't really count those kinds of cheap costumes.

Yes yes late, but I adore the super long uniform style pleated skirts.

I'm a maxi-skirt/long sleeved blouse fan anyways, but the dark navy and loafers just looks so classy to me. The lack of the sailor collar makes it look less 'anime schoolgirl' too.

I'd like ELG fashion a bit more if the skirts were below knee length—the older aristo/Mana stuff has always appealed to me.

I know it’s one piece and I’m a man But I like fashion and I do dress like that minus cane and tophat anytime possible.

My Goth days are over but I still have my Man bangs from a bygone era, full hairline might as well revel in it! I still only mostly wear black polos in tandem with the mangs but that’s tame compared to when I used to hot glue screws to my boots, I like purple but I don’t think I’m crazy enough to try it.

I think greatcoats are a less cringe alternative to trenchcoatsWyświetl załącznik 7241510Wyświetl załącznik 7241514
However it can still be cringe unfortunately

I love my military reproduction great coats, and even trench coats i've got at least three i rotate through regularly during winter. Because i'm insane i pair it with my vintage/rockabilly outfits for work i only wish i could get better vintage hats that pin well to my hair i always feel a little incomplete without some sort of headwear.

I think i have more hat's then i do underpants at this point.

Anyone have good experiences with thrifting/vintage resellers? I've been amassing a collection of patterned suit jackets (which I almost never get to put on).
I personally had good experiences with Vinted
In general it's just that everything's so overpriced today. Like for the last two years I've been buying second hand clothes for as much as I used to buy brand new ones 10 years ago... and those actually lasted for years instead for just six months.

I’m really into the platform shoe trend that’s popped up in the last few years
I'm sorry but we're mortal enemies now

I am a longtime classic admirer.
I'm so jealous of Millenials that they had smart casual. And I'm even more jealous of people from way before. Instead of the plastic bitch look we have today. I'm sorry but if you go out dressed like a bum/whore I'll think of you as a bum/whore 🙄

Hold up, does smart casual not exist any more? I feel old and out of touch
