I’ve been in houses like Rekeita’s before and the only way the state is not up his ass is corruption and connections. We’ve covered the booze, drugs, and guns aspects but consider also:

- Exposure to endangering conditions - no reasonable way to get the children out should a house fire occur
- High likelihood of rodents due to trash strewn throughout the house + airborne diseases and mold
- Unrelated, unknown adults in and out of the property at all hours - and since the children haven’t been educated normally I doubt they have the skills to identify sexual predators and seek help
- No consistent adult supervision appropriate to each child’s age and skill level
- Exposure to criminal activities if the drug dealing allegation is true

The Rekeita children are likely developmentally delayed, emotionally stunted, and will have damaged attitudes towards sex and relationships into adulthood. The older children likely have been parentified without being taught the skills they would need to manage their chaotic household, likely feeling guilty for not stepping in. It is highly likely they all have PTSD and are at higher risk for hoarding. This has been done to them by their parents.

I find it very hard to believe none of them knew the kids could hear them having orgies. And if there’s any inkling of them intentionally exposing the children to sex that is defined as child sexual abuse as well. It is hugely damaging whether it’s accidental or on purpose for children to hear or see adults having sex.

I know a lot of people online have put shade on the oldest for not doing more for their siblings in this crack house.

I have to point out how fucking difficult it is to do anything when your parents are up all night long, doing drugs, drinking, and/or fighting.
