This wig is TOTAL FUCKIN' GAR-BITCH
FULL motion video my ass, I'd rather have a FULL head of hair!

And the shirt. He wore the shirt.
I finally got my wish, but in the most Monkey Paw way possible...

Why did James not wear an undershirt like he normally did before?? I now have to watch the video in fear of seeing Nerd Nipples...

The bad wig is a nice touch. A small part of me wishes he'd keep it on for all future reviews.

this is all your fault.webp

I like how he went back to the old glasses for the flashback bits. I don't know why he decided to go with the thick rim glasses, it just makes the character look more flandarized.
Now I'll never be able to unsee his new eyeglass frame. Yet another small thing James FUCKING RUINED about his character. What an asshole!

Never got what people liked about this guy.
I'll bite, I watched him early on in the infancy of YouTube when I was young, so swearing and video games were very much up my alley. Honestly, even today, those OG videos are extremely well done all things considered. They were crass and low budget, but there was nothing produced like that on the Internet before.

Tons of careful consideration in how scenes were shot, well paced dialogue and editing, funny practical effects, like yes it's just a guy yelling ASS while talking about old video games, but it was very much the beginning of Internet content being able to stand out in a way that would get people thinking "hey, I'd much rather watch internet videos than the shit they put on TV" for better and for worse.

The bar has risen considerably higher today and James is incapable of making anything with as much passion, but I won't lie, those old videos are still pretty funny to me, I'm not above low brow humor. Even when James would have a hot take or present misinformation, the videos took precedent to be entertaining first and give a bit of a personal retrospect from James perspective.

I felt pretty checked out by the time he did his movie indiegogo, but I guess I understand *why* he's still making vids. I just can't believe people are still watching.
