Of course not. I'll sperg for a bit since I was a big fan of post-punk and hardcore for a few years a while back, and got to hang around the types Anus tries to skinwalk. Basically every band she's shown interest for (like Bikini Kill, Fontaines D.C.) are entry points to the genre. The most accesible stuff - No one in the know would take you seriously if you claimed to be punk and mentioned these bands as your favorites. They're already well established and have thousands of followers, and are especially popular around lefty circles. The only band I didn't recognize that Anisa tried to signal from was one called Lambrini Girls. At first I thought this could actually be Anisa showing a little bit of personal, not curated for the masses taste. A quick google search just showed me that I'm just getting old and not hip, as this band released their debut album this year and charted on the UK. So again, it's just Anisa listening to what others have deemed safe to like. Not really having to do any actual research or having to be involved in the scene. You'll never catch the Johmas at a punk concert if the band is not already popular online. I don't even think they like the music. It's just part of their safe edgy larp.

Also on that topic, these newer faggot post-punk bands are shit when it comes to writing. Punk has always been very left leaning but they're not subtle or clever. They always come across as disingenuous because their lyrics and topics are very surface level and dumbed down for maximum social media shareability (no wonder they love this shit). I haven't even looked at the lyrics of these songs, but check out the tracklist for the album of the Lambrini Girs band. From a quick glance you just know the lyrics are basically an amalgation of retarded lefty twitter talking points and shitty outdated memes with no substance at all.
