We all know exactly what he's going to do.

He's asked ChatGPT how much cocaine he can consume on each day and still piss clean come Monday. He's also asked about all the other drugs he thinks he can source in Vegas. He probably took one of Kayla's planners with a very thorough schedule detailing how much of each drug he can take at each hour to still test clean on Monday. But Nick has no self control, he's going to party hard and binge all weekend and just pray he isn't tested as soon as he gets back.

Even if he goes planning ONLY to do things that won't show up in the piss test (Nitrous, LSD) there's no way he doesn't give in and binge. He's going to be SURROUNDED by enablers like Dick and Vito. Every time he enters another room he's going to get offered another bump or hit of something, and he is an addict and will not be capable of saying no.

The only way he doesn't piss hot is if he isn't tested when he gets back.

Most drug users are low impulse control types who would have ruined their life with something if the drugs weren't the issue. My dad always told this story of a guy he worked with who would spend his paycheck at the bar withing a couple days. He finally quit drinking and then started blowing his paychecks on baseball card collecting. Almost all homeless people you meet are just nick without the trustfund and family support. It's almost ubiquitous.

Usually the addiction is a flawed coping mechanism for other issues. Hence why a lot of people fail in rehab. Even if one gets clean of their drug of choice, they don't have the life skills necessary to deal with life.

We see this in addicts like Nick in how he has simply changed the specific drugs he is abusing, with others that are less likely to get him in trouble.
 
just caught the rekieta portion of kino casino from last night. i knew it was always just a waiting game until the next life destroying decision, but i had no idea that it was this bad. i was just hopefully joking before but it is a foregone conclusion this guy is serving jail time before the end of summer. what a horror show

Well, that's a very cynical take. I don't think I can agree.

In any event, Nick is the one that was lamenting he's not lucky to be married, because he doesn't have a prenup. Not her.

I think what's going on here is Kayla knows she would have difficulty making it on her own, and Nick is afraid he'd get divorced raped. I think he would want to pull the plug more than her, but can't.
