How am I just finding out about this? Looks amazing and the Mother/Pokemon style is perfect. Good job, Maple!
 
: ( I really wish you could leave comments on the game's site with out your Facebook handle, bah! Anyway, the last updates look really good, this game has become a lot more ambitious than I first thought it would be. Maple seems to be very busy, but I am patiently looking foward to seeing how the game will come out. It looks amazing so far!
 
Sorry guys! I've been really busy these last few months and have had almost no time to work on the game. While there's been some progress, most of it has been stuff like dialogue and items, which isn't really much that can be shown off. As an apology, here's an quick look at the Game Place so far:

The Lucas/Claus sprites are placeholders for the kids who will play the Pokemon card minigame with Chris.

Is there anything you can use help with? I can't promise much (or really anything) but I do have some skills in the graphics department. I'm sure if there's something any of us can do to help the project along, someone will end up taking an interest.

Sure! If anyone would like to help with sprites I could use Earthbound/Mother style generic men, women, and children NPCs for the game for areas like the PVCC and Mall areas. Also, if you're able to create a 192x192 transparent image like this -

- that depicts someone who resembles the sprite, that would be excellent but not required. I could also use some sprites for a few unique characters like the pickle man, Mary Lee Walsh, and Megan.

Other things I could use that I haven't gotten to yet are sound effects of Chris yelling/grunting/etc. to use for battles. These would need to be pulled from the youtube videos.
 
Maple, can I suggest using this wonderful track for the Pokémon cards minigame?

Oh, also I found this epic remix of the Grand Master Duel theme.

I love it! I'd love to commission you to do the remainder of the game's profile pictures in this style! Thanks to the awesome folks who've donated I have a small amount of cash to use for the game. Shoot me a PM and we'll decide on a price and payment options if you're interested.

That would be awesome! A cartoonish style for the profile pictures would be the best route. As with Trickie, I'd be willing to pay you for your time if you're interested.

This fits and looks much better in-game than the IRL profile pic! If you're able to Trickie, It would be awesome if you made various expressions for Chris too!

Two questions:
Will there be a "Tard Rage" ability, where if Chris's health is depleted to critical levels he can do a super attack For Massive Damage? Preferably with an animation of him crying and flailing his arms?
Additionally, do homos appear as enemies?
