Getting a normal job, even something basic like warehouse work or shipping/receiving at a furniture store or something, would be his best bet for improving his mental health and his life but I doubt that's going to happen because he's too proud, too inept, and has no experience doing anything besides youtube and youtube related things.

If he started streaming games regularly I can see him making ok money, but he would have to learn to ignore the trolls which I don't think he's capable of at this point. I always found this one weird because its absurd of him to say that he didn't know what empathy was. It just feels like he is mistaking acting like a pussy for being "empathetic".

There is only one possible way for Ian to come back to reality.

He needs to get off whatever medication he's on. Call it excuse making all you want but i've seen friends go through this, it's blatantly clear that around 2018 he got on some kind of ssri or something that "mutes" your personality, love of life, sex drive, and confidence (i wonder who suggested he do this?) and he's only increased his dosage ever sense.

If one day he just gets cut off somehow, he'll go through months of withdrawal and then wake up to the reality of what's been going on. It will hit him like a truck, and who knows what will happen from there. He either just quits the internet entirely, or goes on a de-apology tour.

He doesn't have to start kissing right wing ass disown his "new fans" (kek) or go back to saying nigger or any of that.
