Not really. You're talking about a production that requires the coordination of dozens or even hundreds of people across vast distances, IN PERSON, and a youtube video made by some fat mong living on government benefits with literally nothing better to do.

I think the hollywood production is a much more understandable wait given the logistical hurdles involved.

True. More effort definitely went into the movie. Still, on that point,I can either watch this or Lord of the Rings. The cost benefit analysis is not in piggies favor even if the runtime is the same.

With a movie, you're expected to be watching. With a youtube video you can put it on in the background while your eyes are occupied with a game or something work related. This means Piggy isn't just competing against movies, he's competing against every podcast, audiobook and documentary ever made.

The point is scattered, the first segment is a bit misguided, and the name of the thing is both inaccurate and does a disservice to the content of the video, but I actually quite like a lot of what he says in the middle of this, and I was pretty surprised when he mentioned broadly affiliating as a centrist who's more invested in individual issues than being on a given side.

A fair bit of the video is humanizing to the idea of the everyman and swings for plenty of well-meaning folks on what one might consider the opposite side of the aisle, as well as unambiguously admitting that plenty of further-right ideas have completely valid and justifiable bases while completely countenancing that there's plenty of the same broken lines of argument on the left, etc.

Much of it is frustrating, but I consider much of it a refreshing counterpoint to what I went in expecting. Shame nobody in the comments sees the worth of the calls for open discussion, understanding or unity.
