Were you there and they said that? The way the order reads to me is that he is allowed to defer jail time to Aug 1st so long as he is compliant with probation.

I think this was the State accommodating the "muh keedz" argument. They should have less activities in August than say, the next month. (Presuming school ends in May as was reported last year for the kids.)
