I'm just wandering around the hub level and holy shit this thing is massive. What a huge effort. Sorry about never getting back to you on the custom chud models, combination of laziness and being busy.
 
I'm mega busy at the moment with a bunch of creative projects, but when I get the chance I'll try out the new .wad and maybe even do a review video if it ends up being cool - if for no other reason than I've already had Farms references in videos, and that whole MATI clip about cheddar cheese in my Arcane Dimensions review, so I might as well go and make it very explicit.

For the record, I did play about half of the original one, but I just wasn't really in the mood at the time to play through what felt like a lot of people's very first time using a doom map editor. No hate, and definitely not saying I can do any better, but that was the thing that made me drop off.
 
Before I cry to folks here, I haven't done this before. I have the old doom games but never fucked with modding. But this shit was too good to pass up. I hit the instructions, I have Zdoom's latest version. I have the doom 2 wad and the kiwi mod in the same folder. I tried using ZDL and just dragging the pk to zdoom launcher and I keep getting "61 errors".

So.... whats next for kiwi doom related projects? meridian 59 is open sourced, uses an altered doom map editor for building the world and has graphics and an engine similar to doom. Perhaps creating a kiwifarms meridian server. I can see it now - adding in mecha null and replacing the frog like lupogg king with our favorite kermit like consent accident in a dress

Could be hilarious

My guess is you put the KF Doom file in the wrong spot under IWAD. That happened to a friend of mine, when he first fiddled around with Doom launchers. This is how it's supposed to look like.

GZ Doom only is a massive turn off for me, and the 3D chuds crankle me quite a bit.

But yes, that hub is very impressive. I can see myself picking away at this, eventually.
 
Still can't get over the level of detail in the hub. Every area is just filled with architecture, including seemingly optional side areas like this random hallway.
