It's one of the weirdest things I've seen about people that gain a large amount of e-fame and influence. There will always be a group of people that will follow them no matter what. You can look at DSP or even Ralph and find people that have some weird sunk cost reverence for them and its confounding. Nick could surprise us all with a chain of events that make his current downfall look tame and there will still be people that "pray for him" and send him money.

• Social media in which every confirmation bias is reinforced and conspiracy theory is "verified".

• The moral bankruptcy of libs and connected MSM who, long ago, lost any moral credibility (see the trans debate most recently).

Anyway, as recently as the 80s, morally shamed politicians and CEOs would be forced to resign for infidelity, drug use, corruption, etc. Bill Clinton changed all of that.
